Hilarious. You folks do realize that Seth's response was aimed at post #8, where a message boarder said:

"Seth, you better get them to add Dante and Necro, or I will have to come there and shave your beard."

Mentioning a beard (ironically, his own) and the word "biohazard" in the same breath, and you all jump to the conclusion that the largely unappealing RE character of Barry Burton would be included in a fighting themed game?

Leon S(tupid) Kennedy or Chris Redfield or Albert Wesker would be the most ideal candidates if a RE character were to be included in TvC, not a pot-bellied geezer from years ago.

      You're back!

I don't really think Barry will be included in a fighting game... man.. don't you all think it would be a little bit... weird? it also sounds terrible...

      Anyway, I bet it's rebecca's return (?!!)

No, I sincerely doubt that Barry Burton would be included in TvC. If Capcom wants to push the game from the store shelves, then they're going to want to include some new characters that appeal to the general masses (for the most part) to negate the fact that they're also putting in the Tatsunoko properties that are largely unknown to the market outside of Nippon.

Barry can't even get himself mentioned in new RE games, so why on Earth would Capcom all the sudden just throw him into a fighting game?

I'll give the (misguided IMO) Barry fanbase one thing - they sure are rabid for the character.

I'd have guessed Chris Redfield or Chief Mendez *being somewhat iconic from RE4*.

          Hope its Barry though.

It's way more likely that they'd want to put Chris in the game over Barry i'd have thought. Although...if it was Barry, perhaps they're getting a little bit more exposure out of Barry before Darkside Chronicles or Portable come out, just to remind people Barry's still in their thoughts?

It will probably be Jill, since they just have to rip her move list from Marvel VS Capcom 2. You know very well how lazy these bastards can be, don't you ? :p

How you all jump to the conclusion that the character is actually male?
Chris Redfield has a beard too. It's ridiciculous to admit something that we really don't know for sure. But Barry in a fighting game? Yes, in our weirdest dreams.

No one's admitting anything, they're making guesses.

Oh, and if you can suggest some female Capcom characters with beards, that would be helpful.

I'm sorry. I don't wanna sound like a noob or anything...but is this a fighting game?

That beard stuff has actually nothing to do with the identity of one of the new characters, like Jill's Boob said. However, the use of the word biohazard seems to be completely irrelevant with the rest of the thread so I assume it is indeed a clue. It could be anyone RE-related, so my vote goes for Jill in STARS outfit until further notice.

                            THIS.
I'm not saying this character might be Jill, but we don't know anything.
And the beard thing they mentioned might not be the answer of this either.

Chris was in RE5, but this is a Wii game, and with RE4 Wii being the top RE game on the system, not to mention the upcoming release of REDC, the most likely RE character to get put into TvC (if they do add an RE character, that is) would be Leon. *gags on bile*

I wasn't banned. I just haven't logged into this site in awhile. (I'm always "bitter" though, thanks.) I just saw this topic, went and looked at the source of the info, happened to see all the messages in the thread where Sven issued his statement, and saw that his "beard" comment stemmed from nothing more than a joke about his own beard. It's not like solving the theory of relativity...it took a simple mouse click to realize that people were jumping to conclusions over absolutely nothing.

Maybe the new character Sven sampled truly is Barry Burton. But thinking about it logically, it's 99% likely that it's not him at all.

But who knows...Servbot is a character in a fighting game after all.

Yeah, it was a Cross over/team fighting game between Capcom characters and Anime characters from Tatsunoko, it was Japanese only but somehow Capcom managed to pull off a western release *which I had thought impossible due to most of Tatsunoko's animes when US distributed having different publishers.*
