Darkside Chronicles US Release Date & Price Announced

The retail details for Darkside Chronicles in the US region has been released by Capcom. The game is scheduled for a November 17, 2009 release with a price tag of $49.99.

They also stated that gamers has a chance to chance to win some free Darkside Chronicles goodies in the future by following Leon and Claire on Twitter.

This Twitter idea is so stupid.

Well, unfortunately, Twitter is hot shit right now, and Capcom is taking advantage of its popularity. When these accounts were first released, I thought the concept was a bit strange (especially since I don't care about Twitter), but it's a marketing technique, and given that both accounts have 1000+ followers, I'd say it's working quite well.

Is it silly? Well, yes, considering the whole concept of Claire and Leon "tweeting" their thoughts during a horrific zombie outbreak and having their pictures taken in the sewers so they can show off to their Twitter followers. Is it "stupid," though? I'd say that's a bit harsh. At least Claire and Leon's post are interesting and fun to read.

I really don't understand what people are getting so irritated about. It's not like Capcom has decided to alter the canon and Claire and Leon really were posting on Twitter during the outbreak despite the site not even being out in 1998.

Anyway... I know it's your opinion, and you're obviously entitled to it, but come on, chillax and enjoy the silliness of it. :3

I guess it doesn't hurt to announce the price, but I think we all know it would've been 50 USD.

We now know it will be released Nov. 17 (the same day L4D2, as CR29 stated, ironically) of THIS year.

That's what I love about Wii games. They don't get delayed nearly as much as the next gen console games.
