Actually, Capcom always avoided confirming if RE4 did took place in Spain or not. Despite the blatant hints that it was. They always said something along the lines that it takes place somewhere in Europe. and Kijuju is just somewhere in Africa even though Swahili is only spoken in a very concentrated part of it.

I think they are running out of locations to set the RE games. They have been in a midwestern town in the US, an island two times, a ship, Europe, Africa, Russia, a volcano and the Antarctica so I guess the Jungle would be the next place. I think Russia was the only confirmed country/place in any of the games unless you want to include the antarctic.Comment
