Leon & Krauser In Darkside Chronicles's New Scenario
But I really don't know what this chapter will bring to the series,
$$$$$$$$$-That's what it's bringing to the series(technically Capcom) unfortunately. People do vote with their wallets what they spend money on. . .I'll eventually get those two games(but first I'll need a Wii, but I'm holding out for an HD version), but I sure as won't give Capcom any money for them. I"ll buy them used from someone else, thanks.

Why do people use this as a criticism? Of course it's to make money, that's what it's purpose is. Bringing money to Capcom and more fun to us. Oh my god, what BASTARDS!

That's not even today's funniest money-based post.
Some people forget that game development companies = businesses. All businesses run to make a profit, so they will sell what people want to buy. The more people buy, the more they make of it. They make what customers demand, to make profit for their business. No reason to hate on Capcom to do what every other business doing, especially in these difficult times. Hating a company for running their business to optimize profitability (especially in the middle of a recession) is... odd.

Because it's an easy way to milk the past catalogue of the series, and to "please" the "remake" wishes of fans by simply making a rail gun game. .. instead of an actual RE game experience. Color me not a fan, but, speaking for myself, blindly giving Capcom money for a rail shooter I could care less about sounds hardly appealing to me, even with the Resident Evil game. It doesn't help that they said if people bought RE4 and UC, they would look into making another, I don't know, RE4 style game? There is a difference between simply making something to milk a product, and actually trying ot make something worthwhile and make some sizeable profit.
But I"m speaking for myself, not anyone who's happily awaiting DSC, or likes it. If you do, more power to you! I was just stating what DSC and UC are to me(a product made simply for the purpose of some easy green). Though it's probably decent enough fun.

Where the hell was I hating on Capcom? I love Capcom. Devil May Cry, Lost Planet, Shadows of Rome, Onimusha, Mega Man Legends, friggin RESIDENT EVIL. I've brought RE4 for the gamecube, ps2, the Wii(twice, one for my cousin, one for myself, and I don't have a Wii. . .yet). Brought RE5 for the ps3, waiting for a cheaper price before I pick up the 360 version. Capcom is probably my favorite game studio, outside of Mr. Kojima. I simply don't like the rail gun rehash concept of the previous games. I feel they're ignoring the more "traditional" gamer with UC and DSC, is all. If they were to announce they were at least working on a Wii-specific RE game, I'd be happy with that and have no problem(not that I really do to begin with) with a side series of RE games for the more casual crowd. Great. Perfect.
But I think some people are reading too much into my comment. Sheesh.
I have to agree that Leon looks pretty..um..."wonky" in these shots. Krauser looks awesome though, and I for one think it will be neat to play this segment, if only so that the whole "BEEN A LONG TIME, COMRADE" "LOL GUESS WHAT I'M ALIVE" stuff from RE 4 doesn't feel completely out of left field. My only problem is that it's basically RE 5's opening stages all over again, only this time it actually involves Zombies.
Still though, I'm probably gonna get this game, not as much for the STORY (but that'll be a nice bonus) in as much as I think it just looks fun.
I agree with whoever said that Krauser looks like Duke Nukem. Seriously, what's with all those throwing knives?! Are they really that useful?! You'd think he would rather have more spaces open for ammunition...
