Now I'm just wondering if Krauser really was a "good guy" at this point, or if he went to South America for some unknown reasons, connected to Wesker, of course.

Sweet ballet pirouette kick Leon. (Maybe his nickname should be "twinkle toes?") Makes Krauser's backhand melee look that much more macho.

As for "Manuella"...normally I laugh at rampant speculation, but her physical features - blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, not to mention her facial structure heavily resembling the young Sherry model & Annette & William (all from the August trailer) - Capcom has to finally be including some sort of resolution for Sherry. She'd be 16-years old in 2002, and the mystery girl looks to be around that age.

It makes even more sense considering that Capcom is placing her in a situation completely farfetched from what normally would have happened to Sherry post-RE2. Besides, Capcom is very much well aware of how fans continue to clamor for some sort of resolution to Sherry's storyline.

And it's only fitting that they'd screw it up and throw her into a scenario with Leon rather than Claire.

I hate thinking this, as I was fooled in the past with thinking tube girl and Allyson were also Sherry. But Sherry is in the RE2 segment of DSC, so they can't blatantly end her "story" the way RE2 did. I'm guessing Sherry did fall into the hands of Umbrella and maybe this Javier guy experimented on her and took her with to South America? Thus she has amnesia (to account for the vacuous look on her face).

But maybe Manuella is indeed another throwaway character who bears an uncanny resemblance to an older Sherry, like so many before her.

And how does Ada go from this:

I really don't think Sherry is Manuella. I'm pretty sure this girl is a brand new character and her hair more looks like light brown in my opinion.

Perhaps in the RE2 scenario Sherry might get some conclusion but Capcom hasn't ever mentioned her in any other games or even had her come back so I don't think they are too concerned to wrap up her story.

I'd so love to join you on this amazing speculation, but having been letdown so much in the past, I'm very pessimistic about Manuela being Sherry. Capcom Unity did, after all, introduce her as "brand new" character to the series. Though, it'd figure that the one character I don't believe could be Sherry would end up being her. Lawl. Still think she has a similar nose to Sherry's new model, though, but that doesn't validate much. Regardless, I think Manuela is adorable. I love her character design. The hair, the eyes, the outfit. She's really adorable, and I'm anxious to know her story.

Krauser looks awesome in this scenario. The new environments are beautiful! I wish we could get a confirmation on whether Jim Ward is returning as his VA!

Yea, zombies these days...sheesh, it's almost is if all those RE hentai books are finally reflecting to the games lol.

I feel the same way about the trailers, especially since you know there can't be too many cutscenes since it's a rails shooter. I'm guessing that they've already revealed a great deal of them, so I'm going to try and keep my eyes close, although as a RE blogger I have to sacrifice my own preference for others lol.

Doesn't contradict. Umbrella as a public entity is closed by 2002 (as noted in RE4 and 5), the 2003 event in UC is because it's the last stand of any entity of Umbrella.
