That picture really does look like the Remake mansion guys. Maybe Spencer has one built or are they just doing a random "what if" scenario based off RE1 withe updated controls?

Nah, it's just the Spencer Estate from the flashbacks, they already have the assests. I don't think they'd bother remaking again the RE1 mansion.

UNLESS, the spencer estate is a replica of the Arklay Mansion, kinda like in CV... but bigger.

Crap. Don't do that because they will strap me to a chair and punish me by holding my eyelids open and forcing me to watch "teasers" for 40 days and 40 nights. I'll know how their next 10 games are going to begin and end.

Yea you can even see the little table over by the staircase where the first typewriter was lol. Although I'm guessing it is a copycat mansion from the flashback...at least on some of the interior lol.

That's why I've not watched anything concerning Darkside since the first two trailers. I think this is just a cheap attempt at hawking the game again with a "new shiny package".
I agree with both this and CR29. People want a Spencer Estate chapter...and yet...why would an old man set up his own residence with traps and monsters? Would he politely ask the zombies, hunters, and other BOWs to kindly stay in their cages as he drives himself around? Wouldn't Wesker have already dealt with most of them anyway on his way up? Honestly...I'd almost rather have Jill's pointless walking around Kijuju than that. And as stated in the quote....Capcom is probably going to show it all in upcoming trailers anyway.

If they have so much time on their hands to make add ons for Gill fanboys, why haven't they shown their other fanbases something? Where is the PSP game news? I don't even have a PSP but I'd rather see more for that than more Gill Valengape wank.

                          Some updates from GameSpot:

TGS 2009: "Alternative Edition" of Capcom's horror-survival game to arrive next spring with motion-control support; Xbox 360 variant also announced.

TOKYO, Japan--Capcom's latest survival horror shooter Resident Evil 5 has seen ample success this year, selling 5 million units as of the publisher's last accounting. At Capcom's press conference during the Tokyo Game Show today, Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata unveiled that a new version of the horror survival game is currently in development.

Yes, but will it be coming to America?

Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition is currently slated to arrive in Japan on the PlayStation 3 this spring, under the title Biohazard 5: Alternate Edition. Notably, the game will support Sony's new EyeToy-compatible motion controller, which reports indicate will launch in March.

Capcom hinted that an Xbox 360 edition of the game is also planned. "In regards to the Xbox 360, a lot of fans have enjoyed the game on the console. So we are working to release the additional content in another format, as a product." Project lead Miho Suzuki did not mention if the title was one of the Project Natal games which Capcom is currently developing.

As the biggest change from the original Resident Evil 5, Alternative Edition will feature game controls that make use of Sony's recently announced Motion controller. For series fans, another big change is the addition of a new episode featuring Chris and Jill. The episode will be based on the flashback scene from the original RE5, where the two characters infiltrate the Spencer estate in Europe.

"It was a key incident in Resident Evil 5, but it was only there as a flashback scene," Miho said. "In Alternative Edition, you'll actually be able to play through it. We had a lot of requests from fans about it."

Suzuki said that the Alternative Edition is currently only slated for Japan. Capcom's North American representatives had not responded to requests for additional comment as of press time.

Yeah, I have to agree with this. I don't mind that it features Jill but I do mind that it's the Flashback. It doesn't make sense, WHY would there be any creatures to fight? Out of everything in the game, out of the two whole chapters we don't see Josh they decide to go for the Flashback?
