Wud they be willing to put that much effort in?
Or r they gonna be lazy and have majini and plaga spiders running around? From a story standpoint, there should be no Las Plagas at all in this flashback chapter.
I'm thinking (or hoping) for a mixture of uroboros, plagas and zombies. Ya know, samples strewn throughout the mansion, all leaked infecting whoever wherever.

I have to think that just making this chapter that Capcom are really going to break the bank on this one, i think they're gonna make the effort this time around...though off the top of my head, isn't this their first major expansion pack of this generation? So there's no precedent on their part unfortunately!

I hope that Wesker brings some sort of viral agent with him and infects Spencer's human guards, thus leaving a trap for Chris and Jill. And I also nominate the return of the Ivan guards from REUC. Seeing plagas spiders, lickers, or other relatively uncontrollable, heavily-mutated BOWs would be a bit much. Though, I guess some mutations occur rather quickly. Plain ol' zombies (of the human guards) would be nice.

As I mentioned elsewhere (and others have also stated here), I can't imagine Spencer having hundreds of BOWs just hanging out in his manor. Armed guards, yeah. And also, Spencer has been patiently waiting for Wesker's return ("fate," "destiny," whatever). So it'd be dumb to show Spencer infecting his own personal army (and butlers, maids, etc) just to try and prevent Wesker from reaching him.

But thats what i mean. Capcom will have to come up with something new as at this point in the storyline, Wesker hadn't even come up with the idea for Uroboros, yet alone finished samples. The same with most RE5 BOWs, all developed by Tricell theoretically after this date.
So already they have pushed themselves into a corner.

Well then they can just ignore Uroboros then, hadn't thought of that. Still leaves them with all the virus' that came before it.

Yeah, Uroboros started developing right after Wesker captured Jill. But he has plenty of other viruses to toy them: T, G, T-Veronica, and even the first version of Las Plagas from RE4.

Perhaps that's something they could even tie up, since last we heard Ada had the sample, not Wesker!

Although didn't TheBatMan mention on the 'Haze that that could've been a translation error?

Indeed, so lets hope that they put some effort into creating something worthwhile. On another note, i like the idea of exploring an RE1 style mansion again tho. Lets hope it will be crammed full of tricks and traps to make up for the lack of puzzles in the main game.

That could work actually! The userbase is their with the game already, would be a good way of measuring fan reaction by offering a mix of old and new!

But...Did Wesker even know Chris and Jill were going to be there? It goes back to what I said before...even if Wesker set up his own traps...why would he? He obviously received more pleasure in trying to kill Chris and Jill with his own hands. Leaving his own BOWs behind would seem like a waste. And Wesker already exhausted a lot of his viral agents in order to buy information about Spencer.

'Could have' being the key phrase here as I'm not 100% sure as of yet, although in the RE5 guide interview the developers state that Wesker acquired Las Plagas through the side story of RE4 which adds further fuel to the fire.

Perhaps he never intended for the BOWs to kill Chris and Jill, after all, he knows full well how the two managed last time in a mansion. Perhaps the only intention of the BOWs would be to slow down the pair long enough for Wesker to finish with Spencer.

Seems to fit! Very annoying if that's the case since it's something many of us considered so pivotal to RE4's story!

well maybe they havent called him, it will suck not to have him since he is in the spencer mansion.

That still doesn't answer how Wesker knew that they would be there. Wesker himself, even with his super computer and spy satellite, couldn't even easily find Spencer. He had to sell most of his viruses in order to track Spencer down. Oh course...if that is the case, I'm sure Capcom will do a complete bang up job explaining it in the actual game.

Thats a good point. Wesker was going there to seek Spencer out. Why draw attention by creating a biohazard there? Surely with his skills he could infiltrate the place quite easily. Spencer certainly wouldn't have done anything as the files indicate he was actually pleased when Wesker finally returned to see him,
To answer your original question the files also state it was just by pure chance that Chris and Jill arrived at the same time as Wesker.

As i said, Capcom have backed themselves into a tight corner already with this new scenario. I realise its early days but logically, it makes no sense and its just a forced way of shoehorning Chris and Jill together to appease fans.

If its really titled RE5: Alternate Edition, why cudn't they change it so that Jill accompanies Chris for the final chapter and Sheva goes off to find Josh in the helicopter?

Cleared up in seconds. A contact within the BSAA. As far as i'm concerned, there's an easily explainable answer to every possible scenario imaginable so far.
