So why don't you use the DRM tool if it's such a hardship to have to be signed in to use your content?

I have a question, I haven't been active in these forums since RE5 and Darkside Chronicles IMO sucks so I haven't logged in in a long time but I wanted to know if the Alternate Edition will support both regular and the wand controller? I would love this edition to also be compatible with the Dualshock. Does it just work with the 'magic wand'?

The japanese version will be disc only and support the wand controllers as well as Dualshock (I don't get how people think the motion controls are mandatory...).
There hasn't been an official press release of the US/European version yet, but depending on our votes in this poll it might come as DLC or a brand new disc to 360/PS3.

It should be both. Let the consumer choose.
I'd like a new disc, like the Japanese are getting. A shiny new package and another Bio/RE game to collect. I'll import if we don't get the disc here.
Pros: New disc, new cover, new booklet (new collectible). No waiting for the thing to download (2gig would take me about 2 days). I would own a hard copy of the game.
Cons: It 'might' be slightly more expensive (I've got lots of cash, so I don't give a flying f**k).
DLC Pros: It would save me the trouble of traveling to the shop (5 minute journey). It 'might' be slightly cheaper.
DLC Cons: The game (new scenario) would only exist on my HDD. It would take me 2 days to download. If the data became corrupted or if my HDD shat itself, I would have to download the whole thing again.
I'll have to sign up to Capcom and vote.
Btw, I hope Sony change their mind and release the RE-PSP game on disk too (for the same reasons). But I've got a feeling it will be download only to help sell more PSP-Go's (and I'll have to buy one). It would be really awesome if they decided to make it PS3 compatible too!

My problem with DLC-only is that the publisher has a monopoly over their content, and can charge what they want for it. Whereas if it was disc only or DLC and disc, then retail outlets would sell the content for whatever they deem feasible, and in the end this is alot better for consumers.
It's been left to publishers to determine what's a 'fair' price they can sell their content at, rather than market forces. For example, I can't imagine that some of the Xbox 360 games on demand service are downloaded all that oftensigpic

I'd prefer a disc, since I love adding physical contents to my collection...and it might have a pre-order item."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."
Resident Evil/Castlevania/ Silent Hill/Onimusha/Tekken /Dark Souls

hmm? seriously, why don't you explain that situation. this is why i don't download much. when you download an arcade game, and you don't access Live for a certain amount of hours, it ends up saying it a "trial" game, and it must be purchased to unlock the full game.
seriously, if you buy it, you shouldn't feel strict by it.
this is why i prefer the disc. if the new content ends up as a dlc, but still offered on disc, i can at least share with other people, because for thing, they don't have control over the content on that disc, i do.Last edited by Branden_Lucero; 10-05-2009, 11:52 PM.

I really hope this poll is taken into consideration...
I prefer DLC as I've already got a copy of the game and buying another serves really no purpose unless the content justifies a purchase (RE4 Gamecube vs. RE4 Wii for example).
The other way I see this working is if the so-called add on becomes big enough to be sold as a stand-alone version (like ODST).
However I understand that there's people who prefer content delivered by physical media... Also I agree that if it's forced to be bought on disc even if it has the full RE5 game with extras it should be at a lower price...Last edited by Beanovsky Durst; 10-06-2009, 12:10 AM.

its cheaper as a download, because no one has to worry about boxing it up and including a manual, but it ain't for me, unless its the only way obtain. its like music, even if its cheaper on itunes, i still go and buy it on disc (again, unless otherwise can only be obtained through an online store).

I'd be willing to double dip if the new content was enough to take advantage of the BD space. Damn Xbox market share prevents them from catering to the system that allows for more disc storage. I was big on this being DLC before but now I might change my mind IF more content/information was announced.
