The interview pretty much confirms that there will be THREE scenarios in the game. I'm really confident that the sub-chapters in each one are of really high quality. Umbrella Chronicles was kind of filler.

Exactly what I was thinking, less chapters have allowed them to really concentrate and pack in alot of detail that Resident Evil 2 especially deserves.

Agreed. Can't wait to play the RE2 scenario

it doesnt matter if the scenarios are great, only 3 is a joke.

Why? Every rail shooter I've played (bar Umbrella Chronicles) had only one, long, scenario. If those three scenarios from DSC are long enough I think it's ok.

If they're going to be showing pretty much everything from RE2 anyway, what's the point in still making it a rail shooter? I could understand with the scenarios in UC, since they were more like CliffNotes versions of the original games, but if you're going to be keeping most of the content in tact anyway, why not just remake the game instead? But I guess this way they don't have to worry about doing both Leon A/Claire B and Claire A/Leon B scenarios.

(And yes, I realize that a rail shooter would still take less time, money, and effort to make, even with all the content. I'm just thinking aloud. Sort of. Since, you know, this is the Internet, and you can't actually hear me, but I digress.)

I honestly care more about CV than I do about RE2. I hope they don't leave out any important parts.
                  Mass production? Ridiculous!

I feel the same way. The rest of the game is bonus material to me. CV is what's going to make it or break it for me.

Don't get me wrong; RE2 was an amazing game. But CV (and its X edition) is the heart of the series for me. It had the creepiest environments, the darkest story, the best music (I could go on)...

Basically, when I think of Resident Evil, I think of CV first.

Well Dead Space Extraction got rave reviews despite being relatively short. DSC is set to be at least twice as long as that game.

Here's hoping it can be twice as good.

Had a feeling that the scenarios would be longer because there is only three and this is the closest thing we will get to a remake of these games. Understand why they couldn't use RE 4 but think they missed the boat on degeneration.
