I'm talking about when they bring it to the West. I highly doubt they'd keep the subtitle "Alternative Edition."

Yeah, but RE5 never won any GOTY awards, so much like the repackaging of "The Force Unleashed" that just came out, RE5 will get a similar subtitle like "Alternative Edition" if Capcom even decides to rename it from that at all. Perhaps "Extended Edition?" And "Alternative Edition" is actually pretty decent for a title if the Western release pushes the motion wand usage like the Japanese edition.

Anyway, since this announcement doesn't even speak of a release beyond DLC (for the time being), the discussion of how it will be subtitled is kind of moot.

I hope they will put in new characters into the merc modes. Leon and Claire!

I think chances of new Mercenaries characters are very slim. Creating new models wouldn't take much work, but there's also dialogue that would need to be added. I doubt Capcom is going to pay Paul or Allyson to come in and record the lines needed for Mercenaries ("Thanks," "Help," etc.). It's sort of a bummer, 'cause I'd love to have Ada and Claire, but oh well.

We will get a disc version of this somehow. Japanese release or budget price edition, they will do something like Lost Planet Colonies, budget price plus DLC in the disc.

It will come in both formats in Japan... same will happen in the West IMO.

They usually don't announce the new content of PC with the console versions. I can see them announcing it later.

Let it be known that my 360 version is for co-op with friends, while my PC version is for pure delicious framerate, control and lighting (as well as co-op with select people.....and maybe double achievement dipping ;_;).
