^Ugh, that movie was absolute shit. Leon needs to learn not to be Alice, it's what makes the live-action movies good: they don't affect the game canon. At least Alice has a reason for her crazy stunts that's explained. Leon just kinda... does it.

Gotta agree with Canas, RE: Degeneration was total crap. The live action movies aren't without faults but they're at least entertaining on their own. I'm looking forward to this movie, the last few RE games have sucked so badly its almost turned me off the franchise completely, this is the only thing keeping me interested in it at the moment.

Degeneration is a decent film, If I had to watch a Resident Evil movie again it would be that one. I think Leon play's the part of The Terminator very well. If you hate Leon before watching that film then it doesn't really stand much of a chance.

Granted, like you said, I didn't like Leon post-RE4 before Degeneration, but still. Damn, I sure wish my head was strong enough to endure a hit like he did with the (claymation, lawl) G-Curtis. 80 feet, launched upwards a bit, mind you... and he gets slammed right into a metal... something. If I recall, he even dents it. Then he gets up and shrugs it off, whereas Claire gets a piece of glass the size of my fingernail in the thigh, where there's the most "padding" for nerves, and all of a sudden she's a paraplegic. Way to put the spotlight on Leon, Capcom.

Hell, at least the characters around Alice (the major ones, anyway) can fight. They turned Claire into Megamaid. Leon chalks it up to "You were never a fighter", but Jesus. It's like after RE2 and CVX, she just kinda forgot how to use a gun. "But she saves Roni and destroys that circle of zombies!" Wow, cool, she turns into Leon for a second. Wrong transformation. >_>

Okay first off I was being sarcastic about enjoying Leon's performance in Degeneration. (Really you didn't get that??) You don't have to convince me that Capcom has made him superhuman I know that.

But I would rather watch Super Leon and Paraplegic Claire than watch Nemesis do Kung Foo!

^ Square put a lot of time and effort into Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, and look how that turned out. (Bad example, I still enjoy it, but most people don't. ) Just because someone puts time and effort into something doesn't mean it's good.

Look at Halo, for example.

More effort was put into 4D Executor the only thing Degeneration had was a larger budget and playing time the lip sync was awful not mention the dodgy walking / running animation at times.
