I've not read all the comments but I find it hard to grasp how REmake on Wii got an 8 overall as well as in segments like graphics and sound, yet RE0 Wii gets 5s or something for the same things, despite the games both being pretty much equal (or if anything RE0 looking slightly better).


The RE0 zero review also calls the gameplay vastly outdated and terrible now while the REmake one says it is still good.

I think RE5 was a great game, but in the greater scheme of things we had sooo many other high-profile games this year and RE5 came out so early in the year, it makes perfect sense to me that it was over shadowed. We had Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Brutal Legend, Halo 3: ODST, Left 4 Dead, etc., etc.

Not quite...REmake Wii's reviewer was the one that reviewed the GC originals
those many years ago, so I doubt he would have had any problems reviewing
the game and giving it a 7.0-7.5 at least. He was the most fitting for doing the
job but I don't know why he didn't review this one. Because of this inconsistency
I hope their credibility when it comes to reviews goes down to the bottom
of the abyss because there's too many people out there that are swayed
by these mainstream reviews and end up missing out on good games, even
if they are ports of a prior generation.

I couldn't agree with you more, there are so many haters out there that shit on games for no reason, like Xplay didn't like RE5 bc it didnt you couldn't run and shoot. Are they kidding me? its been a staple of the franchise since its inception you moron. RE5 did disappoint to some level but deff not the most disappointing game in 09.

I don't know what went along the development process, rather Capcom was afraid of change from other gamers after RE5, were very stubborn on the old game mechanics or really just lacked the talent to push the envelope. I'm no game designer but even I can see that Capcom could have reinvigorate 3rd Person Shooting mechanics again that no other 3rd Person Shooter even have tried before but it would have also retained RE's technical sense of combat. Sadly, they missed their mark and it's even sadder that nobody is even going to bother doing new things to 3PS mechanics in the near future as it'll be all about moving and aiming that w/o recoil effecting movement and accuracy effected by movement unless you were a military sim.
