The item management is also another conflict betweent he REmake and RE0 reviews.
In the REmake review a complaint is made if your inventory is full you need run all the way back to an item box, put and item in and then run back to the item you wanted to pick up.
RE0 solves this by letting you just drop an item in the spot, or wherever is more conveniant. Yet this is complained about too.
Is like the game is negatively marked for limited inventory no matter what it does, even though that is a massive part of gameplay.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

Well one of the main crucial points I see of the item management system is that it really
fits well the "Survival Horror" genre. If it were to have unlimited space it would turn out
just like Eternal Darkness which is more into the "Horror" genre as opposed to Resident evil.
Unlimited Space would make RE way too easy, it's like having unlimited ammo and there's
no need for having multiple weapons on you when you can just have an infinite Gatling Gun.Last edited by Kaneco; 12-14-2009, 12:30 AM.

This is why I stopped watching x-play years ago and think it just about entertainment on the show than actual reviewing of games. I can agree to a point that all the hype that was put behind this game it was disappointing but wasn't the biggest disappointment of the the year. I think RE 5 tried to do to much and appease everyone. The game is better when you play it with someone else but I like playing the game solo. Mercenaries is only place where co-op should be and make RE 6 a single player game.
RE 0 for me was a bad game and really is one of the games in the series I like to forget. After I beat the game on the first time, I tried to play it again to get some of the unlockeables but got so frustrated with the game I haven't touched it since.Last edited by Stars1356; 12-15-2009, 02:25 AM.

Personally, I think they need to get back to the drawing board of the first two games... kinda. Separate scenarios for each of the main characters (Single Player), then take a minor nod from UC/DC's take on the same scenarios (co-op). So if you play the single player, you pick one character, you follow a storyline/series of events tailored specifically for that character... should you go co-op... then you play a specific co-op version of the story where two (or more) of the main cast are banded together and still follows the same red line, but with maybe specific twists on it made for the co-op version of the narrative.

The series need a crucial reboot- the first 3 games for PSX were amazing... but is resident evil a sega that ought to be taken seriously? I mean, it's just a trademark of making money, no matter how bad or good the game is, it will sell. And i wonder if resident evil will ever be the same it was back in 1996. Mikami is gone, so is resident evil.

That's it. If Mikami is no longer with RE, then the series are gone as well. He was the only one that gave the series a new gameplay style, i'm not excusing him, because i don't like RE4 either. The gameplay is OK i don't a problem with it, but RE has become less interesting through the years.
And to be honest, the game was almost dead when RE4 was released and i'm sure Capcom is going to release RE6 with the same gameplay mechanics with slightly changes on it, because they don't know how to make a crucial reboot without thinking if it's going to give them enough money. So whenever a game of RE comes out or not, i won't get my hopes up... that's what i'm trying to explain... don't expect to find something where there's not.Last edited by Jill Lover; 12-15-2009, 02:39 PM.
