We know it since October 29 2009, when Capcom Europe announced it ;)

Resident Evil ZEro coming in january
The Resident Evil Archives series gives Wii gamers the opportunity to play classic Resident Evil games at a great value price. The prequel to the game that started a multi-million dollar franchise, Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero exposes the back story and internal tyranny of the Umbrella Corporation and lets players discover the origins of the T-Virus in an epic storyline that tells the horrors leading up to the infamous mansion incident.

Only available on the Nintendo GameCube until now, Resident Evil Zero brings Rebecca Chambers – rookie member of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team – to Raccoon City, where she must investigate a series of gruesome murders. Almost immediately she stumbles upon a military transport truck filled with corpses and her journey of horror begins.

Rebecca encounters Billy Coen, an ex-Marine convicted on circumstantial evidence for the murder of 23 people. Players will get to control both Rebecca and Billy simultaneously using the Partner Zapping system, as they fight their way out of Raccoon City.

Exclusively available on the Wii, Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero will be released across PAL territories on January 22, 2010.

Shame the only three noticable changes of those ports are:

      - New font for text
      - 1 disc instead of 2
      - Multiple control options.

      Sigh...

Good point, about the mem cards!!!
          But I don't have a widescreen TV so I didn't notice

Its a shame that this game didn't have anything added to it. Usually when a RE game is ported to another system there is something added to it. I got Remake for Christmas and while that game is great, Zero just the opposite. The only reason I think I will get this game is to add to my collection.

The game doesn't have widescreen support, it just stretches the screen, which your TV can do anyway.

Have anyone confirmed whether the EU/US version of REØ in archives is the same as the JP version?

Since we got them in reversed order of how they were released in Japan, I wanna know if the aspect ratio preservation is present or not. (Japan got REØ first, then REmake, and REmake has aspect ratio preservation while running in 16:9, while REØ did not. However, since we got REmake first and REØ so much later... is it possible that they've added it?)

For those who're wondering what the heck I'm talking about:

If your Wii is set to 16:9/Widescreen in the system settings, the game will automatically add vertical letterboxing to preserve the 4:3 aspect ratio of the game. (ie. huge fat black bars on the left and right side of the image to prevent the image from being stretched out to fill the entire screen)

Are we still pushing the "Capcom are lazy" angle in spite of the upcoming RE5 DLC packs?

                    Strange.

They're either lazy or milking like there's no tomorrow!

There is absolutely no inbetween in the cash cow industry!

But, yeah, I'd really like to know whether or not they've added the aspect ratio correction in the English releases of RE0 (and no one seems to be able to answer that one )

Nope. If by english you mean PAL then this may not be the case. My region is NTSC but here's what I've found:

RE 0 looks stretched with widescreen setting on, while RE 1 adds two black bars sideways to keep aspect ratio. I just found out that my TV has a widescreen option (but I won't use it since it reduces the size of the image, it's an standard 4:3 CRT TV and it looks very, very tiny ).

Ah. So they probably didn't add the aspect ratio preservation then... Darn :/
