Capcom Disappointed With Darkside Chronicles Sales
How odd. He edited his comment from something that made even less sense to that?! haha
But yeah, we'd all lap up a REmake 2 no matter the platform.
Because My comment was the same as My last post ... They both lead to what I mean
That's Why I edited it
Oh & The RE2make should be even better than The first one.. But I doubt that
Before UC and DSC were out I would have liked to see a RE2 remake, but now I dunno...I have the bad feeling that Capcom will just inevitably plaster with mud the good name of RE2.
I would love to see a remake of RE2 and would buy it immediately but I think that maybe Capcom is too scared to make one just incase it doesn't live up to the original which...would pretty much be a fatal blow to long-time fans and the series in general but I dunno...was just thinking about why the hell they haven't made a remake for so long and it kinda came to me.
Of course it doesn't need a remake. Hell, RE1 was doing just fine sales-wise without a remake, but look at all the stuff they added to make it like a whole new game while still sticking to the formula. Who's to say they couldn't do that with RE2? (Or, by that logic, RE3, RE: CVX... *pines for a full-scale REmake collection* )
RE1 needed a remake, by the developers point of view. It had a lot of stuff cut to make it fit the PS1 disc such as Lisa's cabin, altair, courtyard, Trevor's letters, etc. and simply because the technology at that time didn't allow them to do much things (Chris and Jill co-op for example, that was only fully implemented last year with RE5).
I see I'm in the minority here about the Chronicles games. I really enjoyed UC, and its replayability aspect was very addictive, I played it over and over. I really liked the side stories you'd unlock and the files you could find and such.
However, DSC... I enjoyed it, but once I finished it (with the bad ending), I have hardly played it... and I beat the game on the second day I had it so... There's not much there story-wise to make me want to unlock the rest of the features of the game. Graphics are great, but I think UC had a better game structure. I did enjoy the new storyline, but it really adds nothing to the whole universe of RE.
That said I do enjoy RE on-rails games. Having not played any of the Surivor games, it was quite good playing this way. I know if another one is made (which I highly doubt now), I'll be sure buing it.
