Darkside Chronicles Famitsu Review Scores

The review scores for Bio The Darkside Chronicles by Famitsu Weekly this week has been released. The scores are as follow:

IIRC, UC got 8/8/8/8 with Famitsu. How's that possible for DSC to score lower than UC? DSC is a much better game IMO.

DSC IS a lot better than UC, but I think most people had higher expectations of the game, i.e. much better gameplay, etc. The on-rails method it chose just seems out of date and I would have hoped they learnt from UC.

Do you see what you finished your post with? "IMO"? That means "In Your Opinion". Obviously, they have a different opinion.

What's your problem? Of course it's my opinion, I'm just aware that people may find UC better, but I can't understand why. DSC has way much more production value than UC, and THAT is a fact, not a point of view.

There's no problem here. I'm just not sure why you'd question something being possible but then state your own opinion as if it's more relevant.

Reviews are just other people's opinions, not a statement of fact.

I agree that DSC is a better game, but it doesn't work out so straightforward. People's expectation changes overtime as the bar keeps raising.

Well.. What is missing with DS .. It didn't fill the unsolved plots.. & no Sub chapters
in UC there are other sub chapters Like Hunk,Ada & Chris/Jill in Russia chapters.
But It's still a matter of taste

Umbrella Chronicles is much more content heavy than Darkside Chronicles is. So combine that with the fact that "light gun shooters" on the Wii aren't exactly fresh anymore... and I guess you have a reason to shave off a point here and a point there.

29/40's not too bad.

I think UC is a better game personally. The shaky cam in DSC gives me a headache, I think the latter half of the CV scenario is poor and at times it felt like more of a chore than fun. I like the files, but I think audio files aren't really necessary and I prefer how in UC it actually tells you if you have any left to find.

The shaky cam was probably what really made DSC suck for me and can see why UC got a better score. It didnt amp up the horror it just made the game a headache.

It roughly equates to 7.5...so no, it's not at all bad.

You say "IMO" yet question the fact UC got rated higher?

That's where your wrong. Everyone has opinions.

Like most, I prefer UC over DSC. More content, and less of ridiculous script and singing at every cut scene.

Not to mention UC's exclusive scenerio was better placed and set than DSC's.

DSC was walled out to be better, they kept saying they will improve everything UC had, but they didn't. Expectations were raised and shot down.

Still gonna give the cinematics to DSC though. Eh.
