DSC IS a lot better than UC, but I think most people had higher expectations of the game, i.e. much better gameplay, etc. The on-rails method it chose just seems out of date and I would have hoped they learnt from UC.

I agree, I think DSC was much better when you ignore the butchered half of the CV scenario (atleast it wasn't canon). I was wary at first (I didn't really like UC that much) but it grew on me and I really enjoy playing it now. But also, I wasn't really in the whole hype for it so that's probably why I wasn't as disappointed as others. I do think the scores are pretty fair though compared to what else is out these days. Capcom really needs to get off it's ass and make an RE2 Remake soon :p
