Resident evil Afterlife Un-Delayed. Back on Track For 2010
Indiana Jones 4 and Terminator 4 made a lot of money, too. Does that make them good movies? Who gives a flying fuck about revenue. I will say this, though, it boggles my mind that people still go to the theaters and shell out $10-15 to see those 'Resident Evil' crapfests that you call good movies, so you have a point there.
Profit difference: $258,553,717 - $8,547,105 = $250,006,612. That's not opinion. That's a fact.
Resident Evil 5 sold about 5 200 000 units. REmake sold about 1 350 000 units.
Resident Evil 5 is better RE game than REmake, that's a fact!
But seriously, you compare movies, that could appeal everyone who likes (campy) horror/action movies and not only fans of the franchise, that star a popular actress and that were shown in theaters to a CGI movie that went straight to DVD and was made only for fans.

That's my point. There's a reason it went straight to DVD.
Just because Anderson's movies made alot of money doesn't mean it's a good movie.
For example:Anderson Made the Alien Vs. Predator Movies and yes they made millions off it but it got very poor ratings.
Degeneration yes went straight to DVD and Blue ray but was shown at the New York horror film festival in the US and went in theathers in Japan and made less money but got great ratings.Which means another one will be made.As a matter of fact, last year Capcom was in talks of making a second movie.
also here's proof that Capcom making a mistake on giving the movie rights to Anderson.
He implies they made a poor decision in passing over all rights with the deal, thereby losing all ability to use 'any finished product'. As such, "in the future, we'd like to create films where we retain the rights".
The way I read that, Capcom wished they could use some of Anderson's ideas. That only helps my point. (Not to say I didn't read it wrong, I'm looking at it on my iPod Touch right now. )
^ So when the movies do it, it sucks, but when Capcom does it it's sweet? Capcom seems to think that the movies are good if they wish they had come up with those ideas (and actually ended up using them anyway). You read the article wrong. He's saying it's unfortunate that they sold the rights because he made the movies so well that they wish they could use some of the stuff from his movies (which, as previously pointed out, they did anyway).
And, in my opinion, not in fact, Degeneration is proof that Capcom should stick to games.

The movies weren't made well, besides the special effects, most of the story made no sense. If those movies were named anything other than Resident Evil, they probably would not have done so well.
