Oh right. I hadn't realised you'd conveniently stopped talking about Resident Evil

Problem is Anderson has a one-tracked mind. This guy doesn't care about plotholes.I really hope this is the last RE movie directed or produced by Anderson. They need to get someone different to direct.I prefer George Romero over Anderson.Romero's script was alot better, yes there was a littlebit of differences with the character's background like chris wasn't a stars member. That could have been changed in a later time.it stood true to RE1.I've read Romero's script over the years.I honostly like Romero's over Anderson's.

Anderson made an epic fail for the times to come when turned Nemesis into a good guy. Seriously, that killed the movies for me. And now he'll put his filthy hands on my favorite RE character: Mr. Albert Wesker.

Although the way he transferred some elements from game -> movie (like ^zomBD said, Nemesis: Wesker) were rather odd and out-of-place, I have to admit that the first movie was really well done (minus the gravity-defying Cerberus ass-kicking, and the funky-ish plot of having such a huge facility underground). The story of the first movie could have done well as a prequel to the first game (if they switched the date form '02 back to '98), imo. *don't get mad at me, people, this is just my thoughts* The Hive storyline could have been incorporated really well into the RE storyline, imo.

But then the second one came out...

Agreed. I enjoyed the first one, really, but then Apocalypse arrived and screwed everything. Extinction was a complete shitfest, when Alice got Spoiler:
that's when I turned it off and never watched ever since.

^Yeah, I found her telekinetic powers rather unneeded. I liked how she was in the first movie: she was mysterious, and you didn't know much about her. The whole 't-infected' subplot of Apocalypse, while mundanely executed, was an interesting concept, at least.

I've bashed the movies all I care to at this point. Nothing I say is going to affect the shitty outcome this movie is bound to have. By the end of this dungload Alice the superbitch will be able to turn back time to where none of this ever happened and only she will know about it.

I will say this, though, it boggles my mind that people still go to the theaters and shell out $10-15 to see those 'Resident Evil' crapfests that you call good movies, so you have a point there.

A lot of people watch American Idol, though, too.
                        ^^This.

I never understood how anyone could enjoy those film's especially hardcore fans.

^ To each their own, I guess. Some watch it for brain-less, popcorn entertainment (like me!). I generally try not to relate them to RE (no matter how hard it is). And maybe the fact I'm in love with Milla, too. But, in the end, it's all opinion, it's just that the majority of people don't like the movies.

^ It should be easy to not relate them to RE, that's what Paul Anderson was going for. Why go through something that's more fun to go through interacting with it yourself? If he had just done the mansion incident, we would know what happens, where, when, with who and how. He was trying to avoid that. Then people got butthurt and he added a bunch of stuff from the games for Apocalypse. Then people got butthurt because it wasn't a carbon copy of RE3 so he just said "Well, I tried, you just can't be pleased" because he was still trying to keep it from being too close to the games to the point where you know exactly what happens, etc. and made Extinction his own way again.

And now he's making Afterlife, which I'm super-excited for!

^ I agree with you. I guess you're right, if it was a straight-out adaption of RE1, it would be boring. At least he tried to be creative. Excited for Afterlife as well!

Anybody else remember Romero's script for his adaption of RE? No matter how good he is a director, that script was (imo, IMO) pure, utter crap.

The thing is, why make a RE movie that isn't a about RE. If you're not going to use the plot or characters from the the game, why use the name? It could've been "Shitty Zombie #13" or something of the like.
