The answer to your first question lies both in the middle of the news post (US and European versions will get the same boxart artwork) and inside the RE5 Gold Edition site... so yes the retail version will be released in Europe, on March 12th, 2010 (3 days after the North America).

And you're right, "Alternate edition" is the title for the Japanese/Asian version, which is scheduled to be released on Feb 18th, 2010.

Heres a request that might be helpful to the PS3 browser users (myself included):

Can anyone upload the 1680x1050 wallpapers? PS3's flash firmware doesn't let you/is too stupid to actually let you save pictures from that source. Would love to have Sheva's fairy tale as my background. Not to mention when the Rebecca wallpaper comes out...

Yes, I'm actually one of the few who actually like Rebecca's voice. I've played RE0 years back (different VO for her), and RE:UC (Same VO as the RE5 ver)- I've no problems whatsoever with it. Maybe I've had low standards all these years due to Rebecca RE1 in 97'?
