  • RE: Resident Evil 5 360 DLC issues?

    Just a general heads up for those of you who downloaded Lost in Nightmares super early and unlocked the "Must've Got Lost" achievement before the DLC had properly registered itself on LIVE (like yours truly did);

    If you've unlocked it (or any other achievement), but it doesn't show up on your gamertag when other people are viewing it, its points don't show in your total score, and/or it doesn't show when you view your gamertag on Xbox.com, here's how to fix this;

    Method #1:
    -Use the Recover Gamertag feature. Just sign out from Xbox LIVE on your Xbox 360, then press the Guide Button and select the option "Recover Gamertag". Fill in your gamertag info (Gamertag, e-mail + password) and let it do its thing (this might take some time if you have a lot of achievements as it needs to re-download/verify all your achievement data.) You'll gamertag will now be identical to the info seen when you log-in on Xbox.com.

    Method #2:
    -Use a different storage device. If you have multiple storage devices and keep a copy of your gamertag on each. Load up your gamertag from the device that it was not loaded from when you unlocked the achievement. Connect to LIVE and make sure it updates your gamerscore and verify whether it shows your previously broken achievement or not.

    Note:
    Both methods will require you to re-unlock the achievement. But now they should show up properly for you on LIVE.

    Additionally, it seems like Costume Pack 1's content is that of Costume Pack 2, but the marketplace description is that of Costume Pack 1.

    I wonder if they'll fix the costume issue by releasing the correct costume pack now. (I'd just really like to play with Rebecca already. And metal chris sounds fun in mercs, MINIGUN FTW)

          Except that wouldn't happen because the correct costume pack would still be Chris and Sheva. Rebecca and Josh would still come with Desperate Escape.

            This should not affect your save data.

            Just use the recover function directly, but do not delete your profile first. (As the act of deleting your gamertag may run the risk of deleting any save game that is tied to your profile)

            Both me and James did this this morning without any problems.

              Yeah, just be warned guys, if you're an achievement whore like me, your profile will take a while to rebuild. =P

                When he says a while, he means "Longer than it took Carn to re-download Lost in Nightmares on his other HDD"

                  Yeah for whatever reason it aaaaalways takes ages for my gamertag to download!

                  Anyway, i lied. Kinda.

                  Was just comparing achievements on RE5 with a friend and it started bugging me that the two missing achievements weren't showing, so i'm currently recovering my gamertag as we speak.

                  Will seem silly looking at my gamercard, seeing that i've completed it on pro but haven't got the achievement for completing it on any difficulty! haha

                  So yeah, emblems, Wesker violence, and completion achievements on there way.

                  edit: Well now i'm not happy! haha! Didn't get the Wesker damage, thought i'd nailed him more than i did the first time i got it!

                    Haha, I accidentally did this with my girlfriend's profile. Boy, was she MAD!

                    When I compared the file sizes of my profile with a few of my friends, while theirs were in the range from 1-3MB mine was 20MB. That has alot to do with it taking forever. Especially on a slow wifi connection

                      I still wonder how their recovery system works and why it takes so much time. Does it close and re-open the connection for every achievement it downloads data for?

                          "Bumping" doesn't really work on the newsposts ;D

                          They're always in the order of the OPs. I'll repost this on the frontpage, though.
