I'm probably going to get bashful comments against this, but; can't you guys at least be a little more positive? Or a little less bashful? I know it's your opinions, and I can't change that, but is it really so bad as to stop bashing as much as you possibly can? I mean, some people like the movies, others don't. Sure, praising as much as possible (me ) is just as bad as bashing as much as possible, but is it really so bad as to see at least something good out of it?

And why should people express their opinion of something they dislike in a positive manner? I thought they were. No one is attacking anyone (yet) for liking the movies. They are actually pretty much getting along. People don't have to like the movies. Many die-hard fans of the games dont because of reasons mentioned already in another topic; reasons that stemmed beyond 'zomg they raped the game's name'. Respecting and understanding source material is very important. Saying things like "It wouldnt be RE without chainsaws" (a comment that I dont believe was targeted towards the movie but rather at a press event about RE5) and all that tends to get on people's nerves.
RE the movie should never cross over into the game world. Alice would be a shitty character to play with, especially if Capcom is trying to reboot the series back to survival horror. The people involved with creating the movie are so obsessed with the idea of Alice's character in the RE universe that they really lose sight of everything but that character.sigpic
Are you tired, Rebecca?

Although I like the movies as they are, I too agree they should never, EVER cross with the games. Too bad the barrier is already bending.

I must admit, the human Alice angle is a better step than I was expecting. Her super powers ruined any real tension in the second and third movies. And for some reason I keep imagining this conversation;
Anderson: But...but...Alice is way more awesome than normal people and needs super awesome powers because she is and I love her!
Milla: You do know you married me, not the Alice character, right?
Anderson: LIES! PUT ON THE RED DRESS NOW!
I don't think this is going to save the movie, though. It's still seems to be heavily Alice-centric but instead of her being super powered and awesome it'll be about her loosing her powers and still being awesome, saving the day as a 'normal' human who is only potent enough to bounce off a wall and kung foo kick a zombified dog so hard in the head it dies. They'll just be moments when she doesn't get things all her own way. And there is still the clone army lurking in the background...
It's possible if the movie and game universes clash that my love affair with the games will finally end. It's ending already, because I don't like the newer games very much. I still haven't bothered buying the new content for RE5 or the Darkside Chronicles. If the movie and games did some kinda joint reboot where Alice is the new main character I may well just wash my hands with the series, before my nerdrage flares to a point where all life is in danger.Last edited by Darkmoon; 04-08-2010, 02:32 AM.

Yea that's pretty lame. Since they've borrowed many things from RE5, who wants to bet that Alice blows Wesker's head off with an RPG. If they want this movie to be gold they better include Chris beating the shit out of a boulder. And while I'm somewhat happy/nervous of Chris's edition, where in the hell has he been this whole time? I agree with DM, as much as I love the franchise I will never, ever, play a cross-over Alice game.Last edited by REmaster; 04-08-2010, 03:08 AM."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

Well at least Lost in Nightmares -may- somewhat make him change his mind.
Desperate Escape is just RE5 on steroids.
Anyway.. powers or not we all know that Alice will save the day one way or another. I'm expecting a carbon copy of RE5 from this movie except you replace Sheva with Claire (good thing imo but wouldn't make much sense in the game), push Chris on the sidelines, keep Jill but replace Chris with Alice and let Alice kill Wesker dual-wielding RPGs because she suddenly recovered some strenght.
I wonder how Alice can lose her powers and at the same time cure the whole world with her blood... that part will never make sense.
I'm probably asking for too much but a story that actually makes sense and some sort of character development wouldn't hurt these movies one bit. Sadly the story is already all over the place and there's no way to fix it.
