I like RE5 story. Some parts of them sucks and corny but at least the plot is progressing.

It was deffintely better than RE4's storyline. That doesn't mean it was especially good...not as good as, say, CODE Veronica or Nemesis. Pretty much all the stories were better than RE4...

Honestly, I think it's probably the best of the stories to turn into a movie. There was little enough to it that they should be able to do it so they don't completely piss all over the plot of RE5. Of course, they will. Alice will hose her way over the other characters as per usual. But they could make it a little better than Nemesis movie, which was just...hate. Pure hate. One day will erase that movie from exsitence.

How well the RE5 elements hold is going to depend entirely on how much Alice there is. Forget the fact that Chris is there...Alice has a history with Jill and Wesker, and he doesn't in the movies, so expect all of Chris' big scenes to be Alices. She'll save Jill (if it is Jill) and she'll kill Wesker. It's almost certain. So what will Chris do? Most like get whailed upon, saved by Alice, and watch in awe as she does everything he would have done in the game, only better and with more boob flashes.

The other option is actually worse, which would be trying to convince the audience that Chris has all this backstory with Wesker and Jill (probably via a prologue style scene at the start showing Wesker 'killing' Jill) when he was never there before, forcing this backstory onto the movies which only makes sense in the games. If you're gonna do things as differently from the games as they have they need to keep them seperate. Trying to connect them like this won't work well.

But the entire premise of RE5 was to end the story of Chris, Jill and Wesker that started in RE1, to sum up the past 10 years; the trio had a history that people cared about.
Also, there was a hate relationship between Chris and Wesker, and love relationship between Chris and Jill. The movie doesn't have those. Even if, as you said, they replace Chris with Alice, those relationships are still forced. For Alice Jill was just one of the survivors from Raccoon City, no one that she's particularly fond of - they just happened to work together for few hours and that's it. And Wesker is just some dude from Umbrella that (in Extinction) did completely nothing.

Also, why do they keep making Alice uglier? She was really pretty and good looking in Genesis; however, in Apocalypse and Extinction they turned her into a hobo (or hobo-action-whore in Apocalypse), and now she has this really weird haircut and strong make-up that doesn't fit her at al. :/

And about RE5 story - it was good, it's just a shame that a lot of backstory was told in the Library and not in the game itself. They should also develop the Chris-Jill relationship a little bit more, because through the 5 chapters it was all about "Where's Jill? We have to find Jill! Tell me about Jill!", then there was a two-on-two fight, Jill was rescued and Chris moved on to another chapter. No development at all.

I never said anything about it being very good, but in terms of ripping off one of the plots from the games RE5 works best. A lot of the princibles can be transfered over from Chris to Alice, albeit badly. And honestly? They can't do any of the other RE games. 1 & 2 are don't mesh with Alice, Outbreak and the like wouldn't work since Raccoon City is gone and it was about normal, everyday folks, Survivor and Dead Aim don't make sense in a post apocalyptic world (not tha RE5 does either, but they make even less sense) and RE4 doesn't work either. The only one that might work, to a point, is CODE: Veronica...and if Anderson so much as thought about touching that our own dear Alexia would telport to his sex den, which looks exactly like the bed Alice wakes up in from the first movie with a red dress on the wall, and blow his brains out with a scream of pure rage.

but thats my point on the whole series, we don't need a post apocolyptic world!

what this series has turn ed into is a resident evilfied romero film, minus the political commentary. all this series needed to be was zombies, t virus, umbrella, people fighting them.

no alice, no super human matrix fighting, no telepathy...ok if the ashford cuckoos are involved its fine there cause of T veronica but the point is it was a simple premise that anderson messed up by trying to take the fighting form the matrix, and the post apocolyptic world of mad max, fallout, just stop me somewhere on this people, and throwing in some zombies. seriously in extinction they had a pit fight with zombies which kind of reminded me of a certain scene with a certain italian film directors daughter.

the point is anderson failed Xtremely and the fact that he's added so much of RE5's story into this basically shows the amount of fail he is trying to make up and you know what

Let's not kid ourselves here. This movie will have as much to do about RE5 as Apocalypse did regarding RE3.

What do I mean by that? Well if you haven't noticed aside from three-four characters from the actual games everyone else in this movie is conceived from Paul Anderson including the lead. The setting is not in Africa. Umbrella is still very much active. We're still dealing with the entire world overrun by zombies so there's no area to contain. Aside from references (which we had to RE3 and Code Veronica in Apocalypse) you're not going to expect much except the bare bones here. Apocalypse still had Carlos and Jill escape Raccoon City. Nicholai and Nemesis were still there. The city gets nuked at the end. But did it feel like RE3: The movie to you? No, Alice and her adventures always came first. And this film will not be any different. I'll be very surprised if Chris vs. Wesker ever ends up being the final encounter of the movie. No, I'm seeing Alice ending the man in shades in the near future.....

Im hopeing it will be Sienna Guillory who will be portraying Jill again I thought when she was in Apocalypse she was the only charater I liked and she stole the spot light her portray of Jill was good and im hopeing she keeps it up in this film but she alone woint be enough to save this film.

Indeed. The game gets a lot of unjust hate.

Pod person, eh? Well, ironically, her and Jill both have blonde hair, and in K-Mart's pod suit, she has the scarab attached. Unless we're looking at this thing taking on more then one host, I'm a tad confused as of now. Maybe the attachment chest thingie just has a thing for blondes?

If it is really K-mart, it will an epic fail. We should wait for the next trailer and see if they show this footage. I've got the feeling it is Sienna Guillory.

This is very true. He shall know my wrath if he ever dares to bastardize CODE: Veronica with his dumb Alice-ness. Knowing him, he'd probably cast Alexia as some young dumb blonde thing, make sure there were plenty of ass/tit shots when she comes out of her cryostasis and then Alice would just blow her up. Then most of the world would know Alexia Ashford as that weak blonde with nice buttocks who got killed by Alice.

                        This thought angers me.

I took this into mind yesterday, and it's quite obvious that the lady in purple is Jill Valentine. It doesn't exactly make sense that they had to make her blonde, seeing as we already have another blonde character that has been experimented on, it seems.

I narrowed it down to 2 scenarios.

                          1) They're using K-Mart as a decoy to ... do something. This would make sense by using the same chest device.

                          2) Or maybe they're two completely unrelated character with the same character with the now pointless similarity of sharing a chest device.
