    Meaning, not very.

But hey, at least it's not a first person shooter.
    Really?

I thought it looked infinitely better than Homecoming and can't wait to find out more about the gameplay and the main character Murphy Pendleton.

I'm actually pleased with this trailer. For the first time in years, I feel sincerely excited about an upcoming Silent Hill title.

Hey it looks much better then that crap "Homecoming", and It's music score is done by Licht's that you can noctice almost right away, I just imagine Dexter walking around Miami tho lol. Great show, and hopefully that will be a great game.

So is this another game where they let some other small company make it? Because Climax should be shot.

Silent Hill trailer was interesting. Visually it looks better than Homecoming, but the movie world influences are still there (the main sign, the paint peel effects). Aside from the music which everyone is talking about, 2 more interesting things to note are also in the credits as shown above. First, the team is wanting some connection to the original developers and thus it is listed as as a Vatra Games / Team Silence production as AJ mentioned. But I think the more interesting thing though is that the "story by" credit the game is just credited as "Konami."

As with Archelon, I'm about as convinced as I was with the early footage of Homecoming, which doesn't say a lot. We'll have to wait and see.

Looks interesting, though graphics still aren't so great (character models especially) which is ashame considering how good looking were character models in SH2-3. I like the music in the trailer. It wasn't Yamaoka, sure, but the score was good and atmospheric anyway. I just hope that Mary Elizabeth Mcglynn and Joe Romersa returns in this game as well and delivers more awesome songs.

Still kinda irked about the ex-convict thing. Oh well, we'll have to wait and see just a tad bit more. At least it isn't so much another remake. *SM wasn't bad, but I want more story*

I think an interesting approach to the convict thing would be if they actually spin things heavily around the question of whether he's actually guilty or not of his crime(s)

Only if he ends up actually being guilty. Whenever these things happen in games and shows and there's doubt as to guilt, 9/10 times it's a not guilty but scenario.

I would love if he was in fact guilty and Silent Hill is making his experience a path of redemption and understanding on the crimes he has committed and how the world around has influenced based upon his own persona. Like how the realm's transformation seemed to go in the shape of a prison, with his clothes symbolising blood red, and all the creatures and world are crafted based upon his sins. The trailer clearly showed he wanted to only escape from the destination he would soon be dragged under. This is the key point I liked about the character wanting to avoid the consequences of his actions.

                      I want to see more.

                        With Dexter composer onboard, I can't help but think of it in the sort of way Dexter's done;

You have a guy who's clearly a bad guy. What he does is WRONG. Yet... somehow... he's the hero. You like him. You cheer for him. You feel sorry for him when bad stuff happens to him. All of that while at the same time; he's a complete monster.

If they could pull off that one, I think it has potential for being really interesting. If, say, his crime was "absolutely necessary" (or absurdly controversial).

(Of course, the question of guilt could also be pulled in a multiple endings sort of way, let actions through out the game decide the true nature of things and affect the ending.)

None of you guys here are going to talk about how great Shattered Memories was? This one looks very promising although it's still about a whole entire year away. The final game will probably look pretty different from this first trailer.

After going over the trailer again in full 1080P.......

I've become pretty disappointed with a lot of the visuals with the game. The character models for one......need A LOT of work.

Murphy for example must use extreme hold hair spray. Why is it that Silent Hill 3 came out years ago and had better looking hair and models in general? The textures just look so washed out and are missing sharpness and detail.

Speaking of this shot, I realized what bugs me about Murphy on the bus.....he and the other prisoners are moving around.....but the bus stays static to the ground. It just looks like they are fidgeting in place....crazily.

As for Officer A. Cunningham(its written on her name tag).......her hair is in pieces! Look at the holes and missing polygons! The fact it doesn't move is one thing, but to be actually missing polygons!?!?

Here are some other random grabs from the trailer:

2 of the enemies in the game:

His suit is orange now? (lightened image)

I have 3 explanations for this:

                            1. They are still trying to decide what color to use for his jumpsuit.
                            2. His suit will be green in foggy/rainy SH and orange in hellish SH.
                            3. They are copying the movie, and having it change as you go through the game. Starting as a dull green and going to a bright orange or red.

Murphy is blonde....er? And takes damage?

I guess his hair is this color without shaders being applied? Or they just have different colors of his hair going around.

As for the blood, I think this will probably be the damage system to show how his health is.

Is this officer Cunningham? Or another yet to be specified female officer?

As for the level designer, I like it. It seems better that Homecoming's so far. So here's hoping.
