I agree that the movie does look tacky, but they've all had a degree of tackiness to them. Meh.

And I like how each trailer seems to have a new, FORCED connection to Resident Evil 5...Executioner Majini...Jill's control device...Poorly replicated Wesker's Midnight outfit...By the end of it all, I'm sure we'll see Chris having to take some sort of serum that makes his arms the size Rocket Launchers. Bah!

I will still watch this though out of sheer curiousity.

      Ugh . . . just ugh!

Although no Sheva?! Josh even? Ah whatever I'll consider picking it up from the bargain bin about a week after it comes out just like I did with Extinction . . .

I'm actually mildly excited for this. I like the movies. Sure, they're not exactly canon to the games, but I said a few years ago (on this very site) it's the closest we're gonna get to an RE movie, so we gotta deal with it.

I did enjoy the Silent Hill movie more though... *shot*

I completely agree about Alice; I feel she detracts from the game's characters, which were far more interesting in my opinion.

I think the first movie was probably the overall best movie (not that it was good), and the second was the most "fun." After that I stopped caring; I know the third was crap.

The best video game movie for me will always be the original Mortal Kombat.
          Mass production? Ridiculous!

Yes, but it doesn't involve his fanfic character (lets call her Alia) killing Sub-Zero and Scorpion at once, saving Liu Kang with her far superior powers and martial skills, revealing she is the daughter of Raiden as she rips Shao Khan's heart out...etc.

The "same crap director" also directed Event Horizon, which I hold as one of the best scary movies ever made. So it's not like the man is always devoid of talent, he's just mostly devoid of it.

What are you all talking about?! This movie looks awesome, at least compared to extinction. Yes, it seems that alice still has a ridiculous amount of skill and power left, but otherwise the story actually looks half decent. Honestly, I can't wait for it.

The movie just looks like it just took random pieces from the games and threw them all together with the already cluster fuck that the other movies were. I wonder how ridiculous the story is I just hope it ends after this movie.
