^Well, we better say something nice about the clip or else we'll be labeled as "OMG RE film haterz who only want to bash the filmz!!1!"

So, while everything looks like crap - and I am only occasionally following news for this film out of morbid curiosity of what they're stealing from a game I like (RE5) - it is, as Guardhousemusic points out, kind of cool that they're using the Adjules. The design for those dogs is very cool (in RE5), but they still look very very fake in this clip (I'll chalk it up to being an unfinished special effect or something).

I have no major problem with these clips, the only slight problem I have is that...if I recall correctly, the only reason Chris grabbed the glasses was because Wesker through them directly at him. In the clip, Chris grabs them even when they aren't coming straight at him.

How so? They glow for a second in the actual scene. His entire eyes are not red, his pupils are just like they are in the game.

And if its because they glow, blame Code Veronica. (at 1:50)

Although yes, this does look better than the 3rd movie.

Looking at that scene I must say that RE5 Chris is a better "actor" than the live-action one ;D.
Just compare the scene when Chris catches Wesker's glasses. In RE5, at that moment, Chris looks confused and surprised as to what exactly happened and Wesker exploits that. Here, on the other hand, there's no such expression on Chris' face - he just catches the glasses for no real reason while still looking towards Wesker.

And yes, Wesker's acting is a little too over-the-top.

I think you misread what I wrote. I quoted Karui and responded saying that if HE had a problem with Weskers eyes because they glow, I stated that it was done that way in the games, so its also done that way in the films. Which is why I "blamed the original source" aka Code Veronica.

These movies will continue to be made regardless of us RE fans bitching about it. 1.- They keep making money and 2.- Capcom has absolutely no care in the world about the quality of the movies based on their top franchises, as long as they keep making money.

And even if they don't make money, they keep up the hope that someday they will... Look at the last Street Fighter movie. Despite bombing like a W. Bush nucular bomb, good old Sven from Capcom-Unity wants MOAR of those films made.
