  • Dead Rising : Case Zero Dated and Priced

Dead Rising 2 : Case Zero has officially been dated and priced, coming in at a reasonably cheap 400MS Points, the teaser prequel for Dead Rising 2 will be available exclusively for the Xbox 360 on August 31st. Players will also be able to carry over all experience earned and costumes unlocked in Case Zero into Dead Rising 2 proper.

According to Inafune the decision to price it at the low point was done to allow the highest amount of people to have access to it.

Yeah but it's now only half an hour long!

Pessimism aside I like the sound of this considering how little 400MS can actually get you I mean that's an outfit for your avatar at best although I think Versus for RE5 was 400MS . . .

As long as it has free roaming like the first title (ignoring the story, slay zombies as long as you want) I'm fine. I'm buying this anyway, I need my zombicide Fix (5 Day Survivor & 7 Day Survivor are on my list of no-life achievements to get).

Price makes sense if it has more content then games like Limbo.

Lets hope that other similar prequel teasers that are forthcoming like the Red Faction and Dead Space game follow suit with this pricing model. This prequel is half the price of the recent Alan Wake DLC.

Just so you know Case Zero is around 2-3 hours in length and much longer to max it out. The version at Comic Con is an unfinished build that lasts 25 minutes. IGN clocked Case Zero in 25 minutes? They wish!

Alan Wake DLC is free to those who bought the game new + costs 560 MS points now (they dropped it from 800)

If Case Zero comes close to being even half as good as Limbo then Capcom have worked miracles.

Chime was 400 and was mostly for charity. I still play Chime, but Braid I don't.

Well, in terms of getting your money's worth... I think Case Zero will win by default.

Limbo kinda follows in Braid's footsteps of not really giving you a whole lot of game for your money. (Bla bla bla experience!)

Still annoyed that Microsoft always buys the exclusives. I'm so mad that the PS3 isn't getting this. Americans just love the Xbox

Sorry I was trying to be sarcastic it's why I said "pessimism aside". Anyway like I said Vs. for RE5 was/is 400MS so this bodes well considering that was basically just a line of code to unlock the data already on the disc.

Have they stated what sort of memory space it'll take up? Gotta wager at least a gig (1GB) since the Splinter Cell demo and others have manged that much . . .
