Capcom Posts Fiscal Results, Updates Best Selling Franchise List

It's that time of the year again. Capcom recently posted their fiscal year results and whilst overall they suffered a 70% drop in earnings year over year, the Resident Evil franchise continues to be their most successful property.

Bringing in 44 million units sold, Resident Evil is well beyond their next most successful thing, Street Fighter, at 29 million units. The only thing of note mentioned in the fiscal report regarding Resident Evil is that Capcom are somewhat pleased with their IPad/IPhone releases which includes Resident Evil 4 : IPad Edition.

Resident Evil 4 iPad edition... Jesus. 5 years later and that game continue to make Capcom money.

Man, whoever allowed Shinji Mikami to leave Capcom "should be dragged out into the street and shot" (I'm quoting Gardfield here).

Lost Planet 2 underperformed on the next gen consoles. Monster Hunter Tri grew slowly in the US, but evidently this franchise is mostly big in Japan. So no big surprise there.
