  • Xbox LIVE - Deals of the Week - RE5 add-ons

Those who're on Xbox LIVE are probably no strangers to the Deals of the Week (previously singular).

This week, it seems like Capcom and/or Microsoft wants to follow up last week's zombie feast Dead Rising 2: Case Zero with a discount on the various Resident Evil 5 add-on packs.

Untold Stories Bundle - 560 MS Points
Desperate Escape - 240 MS Points
Lost in Nightmares - 240 MS Points
Versus Mode - 240 MS Point

Personally, I'll be grabbing the Untold Stories bundle myself, as it'll enable me to delete the two others and save a little bit of HDD space by not having to have multiple copies of the Mercenaries Reunion data on my drive!

Anyway, beware, before you jump in! Europe's at least currently set to get a reprint (or rather their first print, it seems) of Resident Evil 5 - Gold Edition this month, I know the US is set to get a similar thing for the PS3 version, but not sure about the 360 one. The PS3 version is shipping the 17th of September, to tie in with the release of PlayStation Move (Update Patch incoming on PSN for previous Gold Edition owners, I suppose), while the 360 one is dropping in just a few days (10th of September), to just... well... to fill in shelf space, I guess. The suggested retail price of both is £19.99 in the UK, at least, but several online stores appears to have them up for pre-order for as low as £12.99. Might worth considering before you decide whether or not to bite on any evt. deals.

Well that sucks since I just bought vs mode when I was buying Case Zero for 400 points each like 2 days ago I've had 340m$ since like April I go and bump up my account by the 2100 minimum and boom they drop the price, typical . . .

EDIT; When does the deal go up cause your links still show full price . . .

The offers should be up already.

The cycles for Deals of the Week are Monday -> Sunday and I just grabbed Untold Stories for 560 myself. Keep in mind that prices on Marketplace.xbox.com doesn't show at the discount price unless you're both logged in and a Gold member.

I just an email notification that this RE5 'Untold Stories' business has gone up on the Playstation Store too ($9.95 at the Australian store).

Also the first issue of the digital comic, Silent Hill: Dying Inside, has been released.

When Resident Evil games at retail get repackaged and repriced, people are out in force to piss and moan about Capcom trying to steal from them.

Capcom drop prices though, and nothing?

              For shame! Where's the drama?!

Well, I am kinda ticked off since I just bought Lost in Nightmare and Desperate escape a week or so back. Does that count?

That discount would be nice, if I haven't bought those long ago -_-

Just a quick question, but does the Gold Edition for 360 come packaged with the DLC as a code to enter, whlie the PS3 version comes packaged on disc already?

yeah, which is stupid in my opinion. i rather they package it on a 2nd disc and install whatever you wanted individually, like fallout 3/ oblivion add-ons on disc.

Thanks for the response, but oh wow. I was planning on gettin it on 360, but if it's just a code you manually enter, that really sucks :/. Might as well get it on PS3 then. Although I own RE5 on both systems, it is the one I don't like the most, but it plays better on 360 IMHO, PS3 version does have the DLC on disc already, which is nice, so I may pick up the game at retail.

the PS3 version seems harder for some reason. when i played on professional during that chapter where you use the machine gun to kill Ndesu, i would die so many times doing it. but when i did it on the 360, i didn't die at all.
