  • Miscellaneous Afterlife Updates

Milla Jovovich has recently gone on record to say that she would love to do a fifth Resident Evil movie, and claims that it's a "family affair" for her now. You can read her talk about Paul W. Anderson's inspirations and her other comments on the movie at the link below.

Milla Jovovich Ready for Firth Movie, thanks to Apocalypse.

Reuters recently ran a piece where Paul W. Anderson talks about shooting Afterlife in 3D. Afterlife is shot entirely in 3D unlike most 3D movies which are shot in regular 2D then converted to 3D in post processing. Anderson's comments about filming in 3D can be read at the link below.

And lastly, RE : Afterlife is being promoted in Madrid in a very interesting way, several realistic looking prop hands have been stuck in sewer grates and other places with movie fliers placed next to them. A video of the general audience's reaction to them can be seen below.

I feel the same way about a fifth one that I felt about a third and fourth.

It's gonna suck, but I'm still gonna shell out the money to see it.

    lol

I'm not a big fan of 3D in movies, but it's nice to see that they're going all-out on the 3D in this one for people who are fans. I don't much care for the fact that they designed the movie around the idea of making it 3D though. It seems kind of gimmicky.

    I like the promotional idea.

The film is pretty short, and almost all of the surprises have been shown in the trailers. Wesker's death is an even bigger disappointment than the game version. In fact i almost feel insulted.

I'm pretty sure he isn't dead.

5 reviews are up on rottentomatoes. All of them are negative.
In a world overrun with the walking dead, Alice (Milla Jovovich) continues her battle against Umbrella Corp., rounding up survivors along the way. Joined by an old friend, Alice and her group set out for a rumored safe haven in Los Angeles. Instead of sanctuary, they find the city overrun with zombies, and a trap about to spring.

Can't wait, seeing this twice today. Right after school with my zombie movie-loving grandma (she took me to Extinction too), then in IMAX tonight with friends. SO pumped.

I didn't spoil anything. I'm giving my opinion that I'm sure Anderson did not kill him off in this movie.

IGN gave it a somewhat favorable 3 out of 5 stars:
