Way to totally make any argument you might have had(along with any credibility) meaningless. Yes, it's oh so clever to call her a bitch because, haha, she's a female. Real classy there. Seems like someone got under someone's skin there. I mean, seriously. Her comment at the balls-dropping may have been unnecessary, but it seems like someone could use a little more backbone, because, so what? This is a forum, with people that have strong opinions. We should be able to discuss them, and argue them--without having to kiss each other's ass or anything if we strongly disagree. And yet, there's a line to be drawn at directly insulting someone else. But also, back-handed compliments are more fun.

But as far as the issue is concerned, there is a certain truth to the whole Alice/Leon comparison. Both do rather impossible feats, but the difference is, at least in Re4, Leon had some personality. He wasn't some cold-stone, emotionless drone like he was in Degeneration. Anyone trying to say he had a tiny shred of personality in that movie is delusional. This coming from a guy who absolutely loves RE4. I'm not blind, nor bias. I honestly didn't really like Leon in Degeneration because of that. On the other hand, Alice has no real character to begin with than being a classical example of a Mary-Sue. She's totally unrelatable, boring as fuck kind of character, who's only somewhat redemmending quality is that she's got Milla Jovovich's hotness.

In fiction, it's all right for characters to do impossible feats and stuff, but they have to be interesting. They must have a personality, and they must have flaws. Take one of my favorite stories ever, Dragonball Z. There's a gazillion tons of the "impossible" in there, but it's offset by each of the character's unique personality and flaws. Or for a closer to home example, take Wesker. He and super-powered up Alice, are pretty on par for crazy super-human aerobics, yet Wesker is much more interesting a character, considering what his motives are, and his "God complex" flaw. Which in turn makes him much more tolerable. Not so much for Alice/Degeneration Leon. I'll take Leon's multiple back flips, laser dodging, and bad-pun dropping in RE4 anyday over that shit.

I agree. Leon does need a little bit of a physical appearance revamp...I mean, Chris got beefed up and his hair looks different...I think Leon can go through a transformation and still retain most of his Leon-i-ness.

Personally, I'm bored of Leon; I never really got the appeal of him, but neither Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 4 are ones I list in my "Favorites" category. I like them well enough, but if I have CODE: Veronica or Remake, I'm set.

And to whoever made the remark about the different Leon endings in Darkside Chronicles, I completely agree; Leon felt a little more realistic in that ending rather than the "I'm going to save the world *hair flip* Yeah, I know I'm sexy." I also definitely preferred rookie cop Leon to special government agent Leon. We all grow up though.

I would maybe like to see Sherry put into this...But obviously grown up and perhaps working for a rival Umbrella company like TriCell or WilPharma. Though I want her to be "naturally" evil...Not that "You made me crazy because you indirectly killed both of my parents!" crap. Think Alexia Ashford...Naturally crazy...But with more Birkin goodness!
