Carn - Most of what I would have replied has been mentioned by others, but I'll just pop in a few comments.

PSN costs are higher I am aware, but I think Capcom takes risks on most what it releases as far as profits go and Case Zero on PSN wouldn't have been any different. And again, as I said, I think the point chance of promoting a game to more people on the console to potentially boost sales is still also a good idea. It's the main reason demos, paid for or not, exist.

As for the platform content, I agree with comments here - it's probably because the PS3 and 360 generally have games on par with each other. It's funny to make that point too in a DR thread, considering we know what DR on something else looks like... with the Wii Chop Till You Drop. Excluding the PSP, there isn't the infrastructure in place for DLC and demos like there is with the 360 and PS3, and that's really the main point. We just can't even expect it if there is no ability to support it.

You know what would've been an interesting turn of events?

If the PS3 got an exclusive demo of the main game itself. (Kinda like how PSN got an extended Lost Planet 2 demo with a full level, rather than just the boss fight like the 360 did.)

As for DLC on other platforms; DSi and Wii supports it entirely - it's just not widely used. The reasons are of course many. There are even some regular DS games w/DLC, but the amount it has is severely restricted to what the system is capable of holding in its save space (in those cases where the DLC isn't just pre-existing content on the cart, being unlocked by DLC keys) - though, I guess you could've abused slot-2 for more expansions (there are some games doing that).

The NDS has also had demos since day 1 (distributed via WiFi on demo stations since day 1, game sharing solutions, and also via the Nintendo Channel on the Wii since ages ago). DSi and 3DS has it via their DSi Shop.

I'm aware there are demos, but they're limited in scope as I recall. The size of those demos and DLC matches the small memory requirements of those systems, which is what I mean by the infrastructure in place for it. A full chunk of game doesn't seem like much for the PS3 and 360 but for the Wii and DS it's a little too big sometimes.

That said I guess though DLC content will match the system needed for it. And the Wii DR could have been provided with extra content, but I think the developers aren't taking the gamble we're talking about here, and specifically then you're correct. Additionally your comments have an air of additional point today as Capcom announced "it's software sales for the year ending March 31st were down 27.3 percent year on year and net income declined 73.1 percent over the same period."

Also valid point about the LP2 Demo. Will be interesting to see if anything does pop up on the PSN later this month, but I don't expect it.

Photography will return as part of Case West too !
In an interview with Dead Rising 2's Rob Barrett, Eurogamer asked about the possibility of photography in the new downloadable title. Barrett's reply was short and to the point.

"It's back. It's part of Frank. So when Frank comes back, so does the photography."
When Frank West departed at the end of Dead Rising, so too did the game's amusing photography mode, which is absent from Dead Rising 2. Now that Frank's back in Dead Rising 2: Case West, so too is the picture-taking.

Haha, don't give me that. You wrote this article didn't you?

alright joke aside, lets view this from another perspective. You're getting a game which was suppose to be a 360 exclusive. I don't get this console war bullshit thing in that article. Its funny how some people can complained getting alienated when Capcom is doing the opposite by making the game a multi-platforms now. I've no idea why people gets so uptight over such trival stuffs in a hobby which is suppose to provide entertainments. Relax!
