  • Resident Evil 3DS Titles Report From Nintendo World 2011

Minor tibits relating to the 2 Resident Evil titles have start to surface as Nintendo World 2011 event begins. here's what known so far:
    - the playable demo of Relevations is titled "pilot version". You play as Jill in this demo
    - there's an on screen pad which allows you to look around
    - the control scheme of Relevations are as follow:
You move with analogue, run by holding B, ready your weapon with R, and fire with Y
    - the bottom screen shows the control scheme, stylus is unnecessary

This is all I needed to know. As long as "zombies" stand for actual brain-eating undead creatures, not in parasite infected people (nothing against good ol' Las Plagas, but man I'm craving for zombies in RE4-5 gameplay).

        From Anoop
"Back to RE... the demo made it feel like the game really will deliver the horror feel of past REs. The sound goes a long way for this area."

        From cvxfreak
""Revelations was AMAZING! The 3D effect alone makes this RE unique."

So what is used to aim? The analogue being used for the movement...

The bottom touch screen is what is used to aim, while R is to holster.

And how you meant to use the touchscreen anyway AND press Y to shoot. That would be the worst control scheme imaginable short of poking the sreen to shoot.

You use your thumb on the touch screen to aim and then shoot. Who in there mind would use the stylus is mad. Hence why I said touch screen and not stylus. Just think of how some games are played on the iPod,pad. Unless I am mistaking this for looking around when holsting?

Sounds terrible, reaching past the fire button to reach the screen, stopping aim to reach back to fire button. Can't be right, sounds too bad.

Nintendo3ds blog explained that's how it controlled to them when they had to aim and then use the touch screen, mentioning how bad it was for them. Go to the site and see what they said about it (can't paste link since on my windows smart phone at friends and the c and p update is not out yet haha).

If they are using touchscreen aiming I'd rather they do away with this moving while aiming crap and just switch analogue to aiming controls when you ready your weapon.
