  • Resident Evil: The Mercenaries Gameplay Clip

A recorded footage of RE: The Mercenaries Gameplay clip featuring Hunk has surfaced online. The quality of the video isn't very clear, but it seems to show off some new moves for Hunk in the game.

An impression article of RE Revelations have appeared on Andriasang.

Today is the 2nd day of the Nintendo World 2011 event, and there will be a stage program for Resident Evil 3DS in less than 5 hours (15:00 Japan time to be exact). You can view the live stream of the RE 3DS event on the link below.

    *UPDATE*
There's a 3DS software lineup video at Nintendo World 2011. Within the video, you can catch brief glimpse of both Resident Evil 3DS titles. Revelations is the same as the one as before, but the few sec of RE The Mercenaries is new. It is at the 2:23 mark, right after Tetris 3DS.

    Aaaah Hunk!
Moving While Shooting/Reloading seems to help in mercenaries
I think I'm warming for the FPS aiming

From the footage it seems the 1st person perspective wasn't as bad as I though. Looks pretty smooth. Whoever was playing the game have obviously no problem with the control of the game.

So, can you actually aim while you're moving? It looks like the laser sight stays straight ahead of you while you're moving (not counting it moving upward as a result of the gun's recoil), but when you're standing still you can aim anywhere.

You can move and aim at the same time in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker using the face buttons, for better or worse. It's pretty clunky, but it can be done.

I wondered if that was how Capcom was going to pull it off, or if aiming or walking was going to be handled via the touch screen.

That back stab with the knife was nice, glad to see they`re actually making new moves for this.

Its a shame they shouldent even be waisting money on a game like that instead they should forcus on resident evil 6 or resident evil outbreak file 3.

It's not gonna hold my interest unless we get an RE3 Mercs mode. Then I might play it. I've played the Mercs mode on both RE4 and RE5 maybe four times, between the two games.

Looks pretty nice, I just hope the FPS aiming isn't forced
If so, my interest in the game just greatly went down.

I know right, how selfish of them to make a game some people actually wanted?

Eh, everyone has there own opinion. Personally, I think Capcom should give the franchise to me. I can't fuck it up any more than they have. But yeah, I doubt this has exactly cost them much cash...it looks like they're borrowing a lot from the other games, and slapping it into the new Revelations engine. Assuming it is a new engine...

                              ^ you're judging so Quickly ..

                              Anyways.. Anoop said this:

"Finally figured out how to move while firing in Revelations. When u hold L while your gun is drawn, u can strafe as u blast away."

"Between Resident Evil and Super SFIV, Capcom have mastered 3D on 3DS. Must be an MT Framework thing."
