Anyone know a good japan import site to the UK for PS3 games? Play-asia is a no go on Sony stuff. Used to have a non chain store for imports but they shut up shop a while ago.

Well my copies of RE4 for Wii and GCN don't look anywhere as that blurry mess featured in that comparison shot ChrisRedfield29 posted here.

But I guess there has to be some improvement to warrant a purchase. Otherwise, whats the point.

Since the North American market for videogames also includes Mexico, my bet is that a disc version will be available on this side of the pond.

Ugh, are those "comparison" shots official? If so, it looks like we're getting PS2/PC version port. Look at the LOD on the one Ganado's head in the torch shot. Horrible.

Yeah, the comparison shots over at VG24/7 (where these images are from) seem a bit suspicious. The 480p version of RE4 was obviously made to look craptacular on purpose.

The most blurry game I've seen on the Wii is Twilight Princess and it looks like this using the default cables that come with the system:

lol, they purposefully captured in 480i so it has interlace lines even. What a joke of a comparison. If all my stuff weren't packed up right now I'd post a real shot of the sequences. Suffice to say the RE4 port is probably going to be on par, if not worse than the PC offerings. Code Veronica though seems like it should be better.

Edit; Hmm maybe not, they are low poly on GCN/Wii too (theres like 30 in that scene). Jury is still out I suppose but I'm very skeptical based on that Leon shot on the Jetski. It looks like theres practically no texture filtering (hallmark of the PC ver).

Its not so much the poly count but the ridiculous blurriness/awful lighting of the '480p' versions of RE4.

Its like they went out of their way to take that version look as bad as possible.

I thought straight away that picture was rubbish quality. Thats abit of a cheap trick. As far as it being DLC goes you might want to wait a few months if you are really not in a hurry to buy it. I imagine this will be re-released on disc if it does well.
