I don't care how the sheep baaa baaaa on their way toward the shittery. I only care if Nintendo delivers great games. Other developers deliver far more expensive games in brand new hardcore IPs that sell less that Pikmin did AND follow it up with Sequels.

Pikmin was a brand new IP, extremely high quality, sold moderately well, warranted a sequel - but the sales part doesn't matter. The quality part does. That's the only thing that matters to me or any true gamer. If you want to jerk it to stock values and shit you be my guest but that's a direction for conversational porn I have no interest in.

Side Note: I am pretty sure 85% of people (completely made up statistic ALERT wee-woo wee-woo) who purchased Pikmin had no goddamn clue who Miyamoto is. Hint, most people wouldn't even know he made Mario. INDIVIDUAL game developers remain relative unknowns to consumers at large, who could not tell you the creative director on anything from Call of Duty to Mario."

And I agree with Amir0x, I don't care about the sales, I care about the quality of the game. And RE5 was a terrible game with horrible plot, story, script, writing, execution, etc. It is not deserved of the Biohazard/RE name. On the bright side, RE4 is a vastly superior game to RE5.
Hmm well said In that sence, yes it was shit, I admit after first playing it I turned to my then partner and said that it did'nt feel like a RE game at all, she agreed too.

Me and my best friend had waited until our conflicting work schedules were finally in sync to play this game end up beating it together, watched the ending.

      "Wait....What?"

Isn't whether RE5 was awesome or not an opinion? Seems a bit daft either party to go off on a tangent without it being something you can physically prove.

Resident Evil 4 though, THAT is awesome. I mean scientifically awesome. That is a fact. Not an opinion. No sir.

I really do wonder if you give a flying fuck about the following pre-RE4 games: Resident Evil 1, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

Are you a fan who only became interested in the RE series post-RE4? I've never seen you ever speak favorably about the classical RE series. I've never seen you admit, I got into Resident Evil because Resident Evil 1 (or 2 or 3) were fucking awesome.

What I'm saying is, while you are quick to say what you did about RE4, would you say the same about RE1? Would you say "Resident Evil 1 though, THAT is awesome. I mean scientifically awesome. That is a fact. Not an opinion. No sir."?

Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Just because i'm in the minority of Resident Evil fans who can appreciate just how incredible a game RE4 is, means absolutely NOTHING about how i feel about the earlier games!

Obviously you're one of these "pick and choose" posters with selective reading if you think RE4 was my first experience with the series.

But i will add that such elitism, such talk along the lines of "BUT RE4 BROUGHT IN NEW FANS!1!!!" is outdated, and makes you look like Temp. FACT.

edit: Why WOULDN'T i say that about Resident Evil 1? Or Resident Evil 2? Are those the games being criticised here?

Then fucking say what you feel about the earlier games so it doesn't sound like the only thing your a fucking fan of is Resident Evil 4 or 5. So say what you said about RE4 and change the '4' to an earlier game you like. Tell us about a game from the classical series that you like for a change instead of always trying to come to the rescue of RE5.

I never had credibility with you to begin with. We don't like each other, that much is clear. And I don't care to have credibility with you. That isn't the concern here. The concern is your avoidance to say anything about earlier games.

BOOHOO. Don't give it the "you don't like me!" card, i don't care about you, if you say something i agree with, i'll tell you as much, like i have in the past...but again, selective reading on your part.

To say i always defend Resident Evil 5 though is comedic enough, to say i don't rate the early games is too much though haha

Behave. If you're posting to make the other guy mad, then don't bother.

Aw, no-one commented on Alan Partridge.

                        Scum. Sub-human scum.

                          I quite enjoyed it.

As for Stu's comments on RE4 being an amazing game. He was in the right context I believe. We have been talking about the modern Resident Evil, and discussing how 5 is apparently shit (good game, bad RE). He was being humorous about his comment with RE4, while also stating an opinion.

RE4 is a fantastic game, whether or not it was a good entry in Resident Evil doesn't change that.

Wait, so because he doesn't say something about the classic games when it isn't even remotely relevant, he's not a fan? Hell, I'm a classic fan to the core, but I like RE5. I shouldn't have to mention that every single time I talk about RE5. Nor should Stu. Now he can grind my nerves sometimes, but Stu generally raises good points. While I don't like RE4 and don't agree that it's a scientific fact (which yes, I understand is sarcasm. At least I hope ) that it's a good game, he's entitled to his own opinion. Just like you're entitled to your opinion that the classic games are better (which I agree with). The difference being, he isn't shoving his opinion down your throat.

So do you all think RE6 might have a spot at E3? Maybe a hint, a teaser, or release date?
