I think this is quite possibly one of the worst television spots I have ever seen.

It does the job, I suppose. A silly little nothing advert for a game that's not got that much to it. Not my taste but it'll probably earn the money they speant on it back in sales, and that's what counts.

Threesomes are tiring, crapping gold would hurt and the trouble money can bring...there's the downward spiral of hookers, booze and drugs, the family and friends using you as a ATM, the whole Inland Revenue stalking you problem...it's just work.

The advert is shite*. It's unfunny*. It does very little to actually promote the game it's meant to be selling*.

Weird. Wouldn't this sort of commercial be more sorted to Operation: Raccoon City? Why is the press covering events in Salazar's castle? How did they get a news crews in the tanker? Why am I putting so much thought into a commercial?!

Ending was hilarious, though. Reminded me of the RE1 opening for some reason. I'd like to see RE get back into it's campier days. I'm tired of the melodrama.. Edit: Rather, the melodrama we're supposed to take "seriously"..

Lol at the stupid reactions to this video. Its times like these I feel bad for Capcom. There is no pleasing some fans. I thought it was a pretty good video, it was sort of like an aside joke to the fans but obviously some people have no sense of humour.

I agree with you, but I've come to learn over the years that no matter what a massive corporation does, it will always have people complaining. Capcom could be handing out cute, cuddly kittens that shoot lasers from their eyes and vomit money...And you would still have someone complaining that their's isn't the right color or that it only vomits $100.

As for the commercial...Meh, not really my thing. I get where Capcom is coming from with the realistic advertising, but I find it stupid, overall. I think Practical Al's point about it being melodrama is spot on; a lot of these newer Resident Evil commercials are just too much melodrama.

I like the standard advertising: Narrate bits and pieces of the story with clips and cutscenes from the game.
