Yes it is worth complaining about. If something is limited, and they double it, its not nearly as limited. 1000 is a lot when compared to 500. Will I cancel my preorder? Not yet. But I wouldn't be surprised to see them double it again. I saw it as a collectors item, whether or not you did isn't my business. The fact of the matter is they bait and switched by advertising one thing, letting people order, then advertising another thing. It's illegal.

It has nothing to do with being a hardcore Resident Evil fan, hell I probably play the least out of nearly everyone on the forums. At this point, Im watching Amazon a hell of a lot more closely. I wanted a case for my 3ds, but if Amazon offers 15$ off like they have in the past, I am far more likely to jump on it and cancel the Capcom order.

My answer is real. It's just also negative. Of course, only some folks on the forum are allowed to be negative...everyone else must be all sweetness and light.

From what I can find it was about two days before the number was changed. Or more than enough time for 500 orders to be placed.

They'll probably gloss over it like it never happened.

The limited edition case might have swayed people's decision about buying the game from them.

It's deceptive advertising, which *should* shit everyone. It's just hard for people who missed the initial 500 run to get upset about a company giving more people what they wanted. I can understand why that 500 would be upset though. But at the end of the day, Capcom will probably come out ahead upsetting a proportion of 500 people to make another 500 alot happier.

Man that is sick! It gave me the idea tho, imagine an Resident Evil 3DS, that like came in a little Umbrella briefcase and had nice artwork on it and special Umbrella colours on it. Wow one can dream. Well they did do RE/BIO GameCube/Dreamcasts so who knows
