I think it bothers some people because they value consistancy with their characters....and Jill's been changed too many times in the past few years and her more hardcore fans do not like it. And voice actors, in some cases, make a character. If someone like Chris, Wesker, or Barry sounded like a 12 year old boy, no one would take them seriously. Well....no one takes Barry seriously anyway....so change Barry for the original Dante or someone like Mike Haggar.

Funny enough, the charm of the original is that you could take no one seriously.

REmake Jill will always be the best Jill for me personally. She felt the most authentic and had a great character model.

Very much agree. The REmake was probably the most realistic RE title ever. Pretty down to earth--not so much over the top.

And really loved Jill's VA and model. As well as the rest of the STARS gang. God bless Shinji Mikami.

Considering that I absolutely loved the original teaser for Revelations--looking at the trailer and whatnot, I not really sure if there honestly going to be anything worth of value added to the cannon, besides a couple possible fan-wanking connections. My biggest gripe I guess is that it's a prequel, which kills any real interest from me. Could still be a decent game to play I suppose, but I don't know. Everything that's been released since the original teaser hasn't done much for me.

Well I'm one of those rare RE fans that plays the games for the gameplay not really for the story or plotline.

I mean, the storyline is full of holes anyway (and I don't give a shit how or why those holes are there either). So, even if its entertaining to flip through some notes and files, at the end of the day what I end up really loving, is the experience the gameplay gives me.

And whenever I bitch about a RE game that comes up short in any way, it is usually about how wonky, uninspired or repetitive the gameplay was.

But I guess fanfic writers and those that write long ass RE plot guides/FAQs, the story comes first than anything else.

Not with me, though.
