  • Xbox 360 RE Revival Selection Gets Special Leon Bonus In Japan

Capcom previously announced that the PlayStation 3 version of Resident Evil Revival Selection would include a PlayView digital version of the two Resident Evil Archives books. As PlayView is a PS3 technology from Sony, this bonus would of course be exclusive to PS3 buyers.

For Xbox 360 buyers, the bonus item announcement came today. The game's first print run will include a code for a Leon jacket costume for your Xbox Live Avatar. This item is part of a series of Avatar costumes that will be sold simultaneous with the game.

Wait, so ps3 owners gets a digital copy of the two archives books, bearing in mind the original book now goes for about £80 these days, and all we get on Xbox is some crappy avatar costumes? wow talk about a shit deal :/

Why anyone would get upset about not getting a jacket avatar is beyond me. Woop de friggin doo.

What the hell is so special about that? It's almost laughable that they would call that "special". They should just include it for everyone regardless.

A great avatar to express the way Capcom has been lately is this:

Yeah... That's not exactly ground-breaking. More like something you offer for free at some point for no good reason at all.

Hell 90% of the arcade games released these days have avatar awards for free anyway, some impressive exclusives would be the ORC cast for RE4 Mercenaries never woulda happened but you know . . .

Although unlocking them in RE5 wouldn't be too

                Or would it?

I suppose it's something ! Although hardly 'special'. When I think of the possibility of having digital versions of Archives, and then considering what I, as an XBOX 360 owner will get instead, a little part of my soul dies......perhaps the technical reasons behind this are beyond my comprehension, but we are not talking about a Wii; why do only the PS guys get this wonderful exclusive ?

I'm not getting any since I don't live in Japan so I don't care. I want a disc version dammit!

It is kinda a case of, 'If this was available in the UK, and if I had any intention of buying this anyway, then I might be ticked if I didn't have a PS3.'

This sounds like the awful pre-order bonuses that Gamestop gives out.

And still, I've heard no actual confirmation on disc release for these in the states. And no gaming website has posted a correction on the story that the games will see a disc release outside of Japan.

On that note, not getting the anime-bird-holding-vegetable references nowadays makes me feel old as hell.

Yup. If anything, that should make you feel young as hell. Everybody born before 1995 knows the original 150, duuuh.
