God, I always enjoyed the other films, they were fun, but the last film he made was just god awful shit made longer because of the blatant over use of slow motion. Honestly it wasnt enjoyable in the slightest for me, the only bit that slightly peaked my interest was jill at the end, other than that it was crap. Casting was terrible for Chris and Wesker as well and I just really hated wesker in this film, portrayed by a real person he just comes off corny and embarrasing.

The fault lies on the 'Writer/Director' for not being able to do anything interesting with the character and spending more time filming his wifes ass.

Definitely agree, I'm looking forward to Damnation,

he really ruined Extinction and Afterlife, only thing good about the movie franchise was Apocalypse, since they at least introduced Jill and Carlos, and Nemesis too, but that was about it for me.

Still, i'm saying this now, I'll end up watching it, my brain just can't resist to at least take a LITTLE peek x3

Thats true, I mean did anyone find the Silent Hill movie scarier then the Resident Evil ones? I think the Resi movies would scare my 12 year old cousin but thats about it

The Resident Evil movies aren't meant to be horror movies - they're action movies with horror elements. Viewed in that light they do improve, and when disconnected from the gameverse improve a bit more, but they're still not very good. I like movies with good writing, characters and story, and that's the biggest part of what I look for in a movie. Even Resident Evil's movie fans say you basically just need to turn off your brain and enjoy the pretty, and I'm quite literally incapable of such a thing.

I just find the script in these movies awefull its so corny, the bit at the end of afterlife with jill in the battlesuit looked like half assed cosplay gone wrong with realy terible lines I just cringe when she says its the fight of your lives.

The films destroy the resident evil series, he just takes elements he likes completly out of context and adds a shit load of slow mo and explosions and thinks it makes a good film.

I mean ive watched every film and the only one that came close to the games was nemisis and even that was a half assed attempt.

And they totaly made Wesker OOC and made him into a idiot typical villien, they made him careless and reckless they completely took away everything that made Wesker, Wesker. they couldnt even get his hair right, they completely changed his hair line from stait to a reseeding windows peak I mean WTF is up with that.

the guy sounded like he was strugling to talk around his accent and it just sounded forced and wrong.

I think out of all the characters Chris was the only one that seemed in character and that was probably only becouse he barely had any lines. they made himn a bit more sinister which is just wierd.

I just wish they would stop making resident evil movies or changed the name I just cant stand these films bein linked in anyway to resident evil.

I remember one person saying to me that Alice wasnt like that in the games and im like are you kidding me she's a complete fabrication she not even in the games. if you had played the games you would know that. Its poisoning a wonderfull game series.

Can they not just make the games a movie, why do they have to destroy and change it into something it should never be.

Everyone has been screwing with Wesker these days; the man is supposed to be coniving and at least 5 steps ahead of the heroes...But then again, movie-Wesker seemed to be a close parallel to RE5-Wesker, so I guess we can't say too much.

As for casting, I will definitely agree that some characters just did not match their game counterpart at all. I thought that this Wesker was definitely too young for the role, and really didn't have Wesker's squared off facial features. Chris...Well, if you're going to basically force parts of Resident Evil 5 into a movie, why don't you just cast John Cena to play him?



...Though John Cena still doesn't have the mega steroid infused muscles Chris does...But at least he is closer looking than Wentworth Miller.

Have to agree with who they filled in Wesker with, he just wasn't "it" he didn't have that Wesker feel to him at all, probably his blonde hair looked a little like Wesker, but man that was disappointing. (Man a lot of bitching going on here, tis like a drug) lol.

Why is everybody so upset about characters not looking like their video game counterparts? If they looked like them, would the movies be any better?
