The idea makes sense, I see where you're coming from, but she had barely any attachment to One, even as a friend. In terms of Rain, yeah, you could argue that the bond was there, but after all she's been through (and the films' habit of dropping characters only to pick 'em back up) I doubt she's staying attached to anyone.

I like how half of the cast is supposed to be dead. I doubt they're all in flashbacks otherwise there wouldn't be many new entries or even characters at all lol.
And well, the movie is already ruined considering Jill is supposed to have a central role and Chris won't be in this at all. That was the whole point of RE5.

Personally, I would have liked to see Brandon Routh play Leon.

It wouldn't be his first time taking on the undead, either.

Helps that Routh's facial structure is an almost perfect match of Leons.
Course hes also 6'4 and that might not work what with most actors in these films being between 5'5-6'o so having Leon Tower over them all would be a little odd.

Course that's what camera tricks are all about.

Carlos come back, when he died in Extinction. unless this film takes plays after Apocalypse and before Extinction, then i can understand how K-mart and Chris would not exist.

Rain, One, and Carlos will all be flashback appearances.

Rain and One will explain why Alice even exists in the movies.

Carlos' appearance will explain where Jill went to after Apocalypse.
