If the multi-player stays to the side games, I can live with it. Otherwise? Not so impressed.

Co-op adds so much replay Value ^^ i don't know why you're hating this, it's not like the RE minigames are scary to begin with

Overall, I think you're looking way WAY too much into this, or maybe you just don't want to like the game ^^ You're missing alot of great things that seem so fun I can't wait to play the game.
The amount of gigs does not tell you how much game time you have with it.

Then you try to justify co-op in a horror driven series by claiming RE wasn't scary to begin with.

It's pointless to discuss with you which RE game could be considered as scary. Frankly I believe REmake was one of the scariest games that the series had to offer.

And look at my sig. If that, and my initial post about keeping optimistic, isn't enough to suggest looking forward to this game then by all means accuse me of not wanting to like it.

Like I said before, people just aren't happy unless they're complaining about something.

The co-op mode is separate from the main campaign, so I don't have any problem with it. Besides, these days games pretty much live or die by their multiplayer modes (or lack thereof, as the case may be), so it's pretty much inevitable that future games in the series will have some form of multiplayer.

It's the same reason they shoehorned the competitive multiplayer into Dead Space 2 and are adding co-op to Mass Effect 3. Complain about it all you want, but it's not going to change.

Too much bitching over nothing in this topic.

Finally get to take on a Hunter with the BH4 gameplay style. Been a long time coming, should've been done sooner.

I think anyone is has never complained in their life is entitled to make that claim. Even then, what are you if you blindly praise any decision?

And yes I have heard gamers who were not happy about Mass Effect 3 for a lot of reasons. The co-op being one of them.

I only bring up Revelations for the clear fact that this is a horror series, and any influence of co-op hasn't really helped maintain that image of horror for its games.

I'm fairly certain nothing I said in my post could be taken as "blindly praising."

I agree. Hunters were brutal on fixed camera angles. Let's see if they can be as ruthless with OTS cam (not like Lickers from RE5, which went from "OH SHIT! A LICKER! I'M SO DEAD!" to "Use sniper = easy dead monster").

Then what's the point about complaining over complainers?

To be fair these are mild complaints. It's not like I'm saying the game is going to be crap right off the bat. Where's the over-reaction coming from?

Can't imagine what part of that quote you find confusing. But to save you the trouble I suggest you give the Resident Evil remake a try if you haven't already. My recommendation to you if you have any doubts over the scare factor. This was a game that didn't need co-op of any influence to drive the tension. What it lacked in some quirky mini-game tacked on it makes up for in a compelling over all package. The extra features to the game also raised the bar for tension and difficulty. One Dangerous Zombie mode. Real Survivor mode.

If i have to agree with you on something is this.

That mode is the best mode i have played, hands down the most fun i had in the series by far.

There was also invisible enemy. RE4 actually had a section dedicated to that with the novistadors (or whatever the insects are called). But in REmake you actually had a campaign dedicated to not seeing your enemy. Those are the kind of scares that keep me up at night.

The invisible mode didnt really scared me since i already knew all the locations for the enemies.
