Why the hell is barry's outfit his s.t.a.r.s one? I though after apocalypse every member of s.t.a.r.s minus Jill was killed (imo way to many members) this is bad referencing but then again Leon was supposed to be dead also ¬_¬ damn these films have seriously gone down the crapper i've watched them all and out of all of them the first two are ok but 3rd and 4th films so many damn retcons, too much alice and way to much screwing up the main game canon but like an idiot I will be watching this just to see how bad its going to be Shall make a quick guess and say Barry will die in some horrid way by getting his chest punched into by wesker or something frigged up like that...

And yet, despite the fact he practically plagiarizes in most of his films, hires actors who don't look like the characters they're based on and his adaptations only share the name of what they're adapted from he gets to continue making more and more shit films because people wont stop watchign them.

At this point you cant blame him for what the audience wants to see :/..though at times you can blame the audience too.

Blame the audience all you want, we don't care. We can handle it.

Again, this is like console wars. Can't we agree to disagree and just be on our way? Death threats and stuff to movie directors (yes, I've seen it) are ridiculous. It's like saying you wanna shank someone for owning a PS3, or lop off the head of the next stupid Xbox owner.

No reason to say "You hate the movies? Loser!" or, more accurately "Wow, you paid money to see this? Gtfo I don't believe you troll, you're lying." <--- Had that slung at me on this very board a year or two ago.

          It's insane both ways.

You really do pay money? It should be the other way around.

Exactly what I'm talking about. But whatever, I guess we can't be adults and have mature opinions other than "Anderson should be ripped to shreds by Birkin". XP

I think people need to relax. I'm not silly and believe the movies are infallible. No movie is. But I enjoy these movies and I will continue to pay to see them.

Nobody should be telling me how to spend my money.

Likewise, I'm never going to condemn someone to fiery purgatory for disliking the movies. There just needs to be some balance. People need to lay off the trigger fingers and let people enjoy what they enjoy.

We could do that.... Or I could just continue to point out the movies are garbage. They've literally gone to the point where I feel embarrassed that there's people out there who genuinely like them as more than a guilty pleasure.

Let me bring one example into the equation. Milla clone army. An idea so stupid they had to write it off ten minutes in the next sequel. Trust me, I really doubt there's anyone that actually likes the movies and could keep a straight face while doing it.

Apparently they do - remember, this guy isn't Uwe Boll. His movies actually make millions rather than acting as a tax scam to con the German Government outta cash, so the fact we're on number five tells you all you need to know about how popular they are.

I don't understand it myself, but then, I hate this whole style of movies. Flashy graphics and explosions over acting and plot...ugh. Boring as hell to me. But there are people that like these things, and enough of them to make money every time. Can't say more than that.

It's not to say I hate story in a movie, or good acting. My range of movies is just wider than most. Inception is a clear example of a thoughtful action movie. I've been a movie buff since my grandparents first took me to a movie theater, so say I have bad taste or what have you, but I do enjoy many action movies, regardless of plot.

Because let's be honest, most action movies aren't exactly heralded for their deep, engrossing story.

And I agree, I don't think I would find a person who could objectively wanna watch something like Alone in the Dark over one of the RE movies. Notice I said objectively. I know some people would say they would just because of their bias against Anderson.

Sad, too, I really like Christian Slater as an actor. Then Uwe got to him and where has it gotten him? A failed TV series, a different failed TV series pilot, and... that's pretty much it.

Well I can only speak from the US market but it seems as though Anderson makes a fan base based on the source material. People don't go to Alien vs. Predator just because it's a Paul W.S. Anderson film. And that's how I feel about Resident Evil.

When you throw a classic like Three Musketeers his way the movie might gain interest in Europe but the US didn't give a shit. I work at a theater currently so I have the luxury of seeing movies for free and only having buyer's remorse if I check films out on demand or blu-ray. But in the case of Three Musketeers I can assure you that this film had Anderson ooze all over it. I'm sure people will find it fun if they're looking for a silly movie that goes all over the place. Tries to be the next Pirates meets Sherlock Holmes. But I think if you enjoyed the tale then you're in for a real stinker. Milla has been spouting on her twitter blaming Summit for sweeping the film under the rug in favor of the Twilight films. That might be the case since Twilight actually does make them money, but Milla's unprofessional attack only says to me that she's using Summit as a scapegoat instead of checking the critical reception of her movie. Perhaps they actually believed they were making good movies. I can't be sure.

Speaking of Milla I saw that she responded on her twitter that the Resident Evil movies are why the games continue to come out and make money. Acting as though they saved the franchise. The moment I linked her to Capcom's page showing that the earlier games made more money than the games that came out when the movies hit I was blocked from her twitter. Yeah sure RE5 takes the number one spot if you include it's DLC, re-releases and that it was a co-op game on two powerhouse consoles. But Capcom's chart only showed that the main selling titles were RE2, RE1 and RE3 all on Playstation at the time the chart was made.

EDIT: I actually have a story about the Musketeers viewing. I did go in with an open mind based on the idea that it had a few actors I genuinely like as well as the fact that it wasn't written by Anderson. But there came a point when I saw Milla go through not one, but two different hallway scenes that I began to laugh manically causing my friends to laugh for ten minutes straight. Because I called it. Anderson would use and abuse his wife in this film.

                      Spoiler:

Well, Takeuchi did say in an interview that the reason they added the more traditional TPS-style controls in RE5 was because of fans of the movies.

                          Meh, I'm not complaining though.
Ada's eye color in RE4 is exactly the same color as her hair: black.

The best cutscene to notice that is the one where Leon and Ada first meet in the game. There is a close-up of Ada when she takes off her shades. And you can tell that her eyes are the same color as her hair in that one.

Ppl think her eyes are blue cuz black sometimes looks blue-ish. Depends on the lighting I guess.

And what exactly is the physical difference between a Chinese from China and one who was born in the US? Aside from being taller (or with more meat on the bones), they look pretty much the same. If you're talking about Ada being half this and half that.... she could be from Hong Kong.

He did say most - for every one you've posted I think we can five or more that are 'Badguys? Check. Bullets? Check. The two must now meet' in terms of there storyline. You have the exceptions to the rule rather than the rule itself...
