I like to think the process involves whips. Not for any special reason, just because I like whips.

We've been chatting about it in our Secret Mod Cave (where we stash all the betas we won't let you have) and some names are coming to the top of the pot now. I suspect Dot will be in touch with two or three people in the next couple of days...and if he isn't it's because he's been lost to WoW again and we need to send in a team to tazer him down and put him on a 'clean' computer.

The candidate selection process for me involves a good ol' bit of Scully probing and investigation to prove they are not alien infiltrators first.

Oh yeah, considering I'm Scully and Alzaire is Mulder, the new mods would be Reyes and Doggett from the later seasons of X-Files.

I certainly hope he hasn't gotten sucked back into WoW. I have to periodically check my YouTube subscriptions to see if he's uploaded any more WoW videos to give me that yes, or no answer. ;

Ouch. Being whipped by a modern day viking wasn't on my list of things to do before I die, but I'll be a nice anecdote to tell my grandsons.

I'd be more than happy to help out by moderating here, but I'm still fairly new and my post count isn't the highest.

Well, one of the criteria we've been using has indeed been post count, along with time active, to make sure new mods aren't 'flash in the pan' members who wrack up a few hundred posts before leaving or getting banned. It was done to make sure the moderators are all suitably active and awake. Of course, exceptions for especially helpful or well known members can be made.
