From what we've seen there'll be a few GCI scenes in the game (as we can see from older trailers as well as the Heroes trailer), this is probably part of the intro.
I also wonder if there's going to be a campaign option to play as the Spec Ops instead of the USS either as unlockable or DLC.

I don't know whether things have just got better or worse to be honest.

The Spec Ops girl knife twirling a Licker to death instantly reminded me of Alice jump kicking a zombie dog from the original Resident Evil movie, and I thought this kind of stuff was fucking awful then.

As cool as the trailer looks, I too found this scene to be terrible. Remember how terrifying it was running into a Licker in the RPD for the first time? This takes that all away. Now Lickers are just cannon fodder that can easily be dispatched with a knife. This action shit is getting out of hand.

I will agree with you that the Spec Ops team is more likeable than the USS guys. It's a bit ridiculous how easily that one chick fires that LMG, though. And I don't really like the biker-looking guy or the lead guy with spiky hair for some reason.

Still, they're better than the USS, who dress like bad Star Wars droid cosplayers.

Spiky hair guy = Lupo (assault)

Machine gun chick = Beltway (demolition)

I can honestly say that I'm more excited for this than Revelations. Why? Simple. This is on consoles, not a handheld. If Revelations was on 360/PS3, I'd be buying it day 1. I'm not a huge fan of portable gaming...

Back on topic: Who the hell is the guy who plays the leader of the Spec Ops? I swear to god he's some actor, but I can't put my finger on who.

I just hope we can play as the "good guys" in the main story-mode. I don't like the idea of playing as villains the entire time. It sounds fun for a side mode but a whole game where you murder innocent people in brutal ways is a bit much for me.

That was totally ridiculous. Making it look as if they were quite prepared to deal with every B.O.W.s out there. Like an ordinary day for them. Paul W.S. Anderson would be proud of that, though.

Well I meant mocap wise... Surely its not the same guy is it? Kind of gives off a Ryan Reynolds/John Hensley vibe to me. A friend of mine says he thinks of Matt Dillon, which I could also see.

I kinda like the Spec Ops group, I am now hoping there is a dual campaign where you can play as USS for one version of events and Spec Ops for another.

its nice to know you weren't serious. however you can buy semi auto weapons and if you have the know how you can convert to full auto. so it could be civilians...civs who could be arrested but civs none the less...however if i was the cop arresting them i would be asking for a discount!
