Resident Evil Revelations Demo On 3DS E-Shop Tomorrow
Just finished playing the demo! Gameplay was excellent. Controls worked perfectly, especially the D-pad shortcuts. Really like the return of REmake style subweapons. Loved the atmosphere of the ship, the lighting was superb, as are the graphics themselves. The music is also excellent. Has a real RE0 vibe to it. The way the enemy music seemingly transitions into the normal music is brilliant. Complaints? Some of the sound effects have that muffled quality like in Mercs, but not as bad. That was really the only flaw I noticed. Well, can't wait to play this 29 more times, and definitely looking forward to the full game! :-)
I had worried just a bit when I read a couple of impressions from some UK players of the demo. And who said they were wonky or needed some getting use to. But after trying it myself, it seems that those guys just blew chunks at playing it.
The 3D is fine. Didn't distract me at all and appreciated the extra dept it offered. Great music. Love it.
Some are saying the game plays a bit slow... love that too. This isn't RE5.
The demo left me wanting MOAR... I guess it accomplished its goal.

I actually turned the 3D settings to "Very Strong" before even starting, because I remembered the 3D wasn't too great/deep in the Merc's demo. Wow, have they improved that! The "Very Strong" setting was actually TOO 3D for me; a first. Had to put the setting on "Normal" with the slider on max. Haha!
I noticed some of the SFX seemed pretty 'off', the basic hand gunshot sounds kind of flat. had hoped that they;d fix that but if thats the only problem with the game, I think I'll manage .
Yeah, that was it. The gun sounds, as well as the enemy groans and grunts sounded low quality. Strangely enough though, everything else sounds find! Especially the music and voice acting. Speaking of which, the Japanese voice acting is fun to listen to. 8D..
Well, this is definitely the demo I played at that Capcom event in NY. Does anyone know if there's a way to 100% scan the enemies? I figure you'd just leave them hanging in whatever room you run into them before you pick the scanner up. I wonder if it's possible.
