Yeah, there have been complaints about my gif'ing about the forum so I'm limiting myself.

Just so you know I was not the one making those complaints, personally I thought they were hilarious to say the least.

it's all about making money, the fans come second. it sucks that they don't try to keep some of those older elements at the same time as moving forward and introducing new elements but the old games are still great and i can always go back and play them. i can't remember the last time bought a game and wondered where to go or what to do next, thats part of the fun about games to me, trying to solve a problem with minimal advice, if i want to play a game with no effort involved ill go online and use a walkthrough.

In ten years there will be a RE again, like in the old times.

Why? All the fast-action stuff which we get today will be boring or all the gamers who don't like the old style are dead because of the whole fast-action stuff fucked their brains up.

To be honest I hope Capcom never listen or cater to the so called 'pure' RE fans. I can only imagine what would be the worst RE game ever for its time being created.

I think the only method to please both old school and new gamers is adding OPTIONAL modes.

Have the option to use Ink Ribbons, or use modern gaming checkpoints.
Have the option to have "tank" controls or full 3rd shooter experience.
Have the option to use over the shoulder cam or fixed cameras.

Yup, ME3 is doing what I'm suggesting. You can play a full shooter or an RPG experience, acording to your preference.

No, ME3 is a single game type, you can adjust settings to focus on specific parts more than others, one makes combat a walk, one removes dialogue choices from cutscenes and one balances both.

It is not completely changing the way the game plays in a way that would be impossible to balance.

I was refering to the fact that ME3 let's you play the game the way you want it. You like action, fine, we fit the experience to your needs.
