  • Resident Evil: Damnation hitting theaters in October

Resident Evil: Damnation will be released in theatres across Japan on October 27, Capcom has announced.

The film stars Leon S. Kennedy as he is dispatched to Eastern Europe to investigate a civil war, where it is believed biological weapons are being utilized in combat.

I hope it isn't a prelude to RE6 now, because it releasing after the game is released kind of kills the buzz it could have done.

I think is already hinted that is a prelude to RE6, maybe it will be released earlier on DVD in Europa and USA.

Thats weird, a build up film for a game and its released after the game? Very odd.

When will it hit the U.S? Same time as Japan?

My guess is probably some time after Japan.

It's a shame really. I was hoping this would be out before RE6 since it seems as if its leading into it.

I liked degeneration, even withh leon was a robot, apart from his lack of character it wasnt a bad film, nothing spectacular though. I honestly thought this had been scrapped.

I'd take Degeneration over any of the live action movies. I agree that I wish Damnation would come out before RE6 to drum up some hype like Degen did for RE5, but at the same time, I don't think I need to be more hyped for that. My biggest concern now is, just how relevant could the events of the movie possibly be?

Hope this one will have the lip sync animation matched up against the English audio and not the Japanese audio like they did with Degeneration

(I blindly blame Sony Pictures for that; no evidence needed, as I honestly refuse to believe Capcom would be responsible for such an impressively stupid decision.)

I thought that DEGEN had 3 major problems:

1: The pacing of the film felt really off.

2: The characters felt really stupid at times, especially the SWAT cops in the beginning.

3: The film took as many action movie cliches as it could, and they hurt to watch.

The film major inside me hurts thinking about the film, it was a really missed opportunity to do something really good. Just because its a step up from the live action films, doesn't mean its good, sadly.

And just I let that remark slide.
                              See you in hell.
