  • RE6 Update Coming At Capcom Summer Jam 2012?

It seems we might be hearing some new RE6 info by the end of June. The title was added on Capcom Summer Jam web site for a while before it got taken down. Here are the stuffs which Andriasang managed to spot before they took it down.

Resident Evil 6 will also be in the spotlight as part of its own stage. Capcom promises "first Japanese reveal" information for the stage. The wording makes it sound like the event will just recap announcements made previously overseas (presumably during E3), but we'll have to tune in to the event to be sure.

Capcom Summer Jam will be held on June 30 and July 1 at Tokyo Big Site.

Capcom was previously promising an update on the event for the 31st, which is tomorrow. The MH4 and RE6 stage details were quickly removed after posting, so it's possible that this was an early leak.

So, nothing at E3 then? Or is this just supplemental?

Just supplemental. The Japanese reveal stuff will cover things from Captivate and E3, and possibly add some more info. RE6 will have a big showing at E3; you can definitely bet an on stage demo at Microsoft's conference.

Where they show off the last 20% of the game and once again leave no real surprises in the end product once again. Just like with RE5.

So, slight offtopic hijack here sorry, but with Dragon's Dogma out and RE6 info still scarce I take it the demo isnt available yet?

No, the demo code that came with Dragon's Dogma is an unlock code. The demo doesn't become available until July 3rd, via the DD main menu.

EH, we'll see some more info and shit next week.

I've been incredibly underwhelmed with the series for almost 4 years now, even the brief glimpse of hope that was Revelations didn't quite do it for me.

This really is either the last nail in the coffin, or the resurrection for the series. While I honestly don't want to hate a series I grew up playing and have so many fond memories of, the more ridiculous action they keep emphasizing, the closer it becomes a better version of the Anderson films.

They just don't quite seem to know how to balance the old and the new. I would like to see them prove me wrong, I really would.
